Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Prayer - 24th Jumada al-Thani 1433 (15th May 2012)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, " 'Say Amin' when the Imam
says it and if the Amin of any one of you coincides with that of the angels
then all his past sins will be forgiven."

Ibn Shihab said, "Allah's Apostle
(Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) used to Say 'Amin.' "

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 747

Hadith Qudsi 35:
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said:
Our Lord (glorified and exalted be He) descends each night to the earth's sky when there remains the final third of the night, and He says: Who is saying a prayer to Me that I may answer it? Who is asking something of Me that I may give it him? Who is asking forgiveness of Me that I may forgive him?

It was related by al-Bukhari (also by Muslim, Malik, at-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawud).

In a version by Muslim the Hadith ends with the words:

And thus He continues till [the light of] dawn shines.

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "When the Imam says,

laka-l-hamd." And if the saying of any one of you coincides with that of
the angels, all his past sins will be forgiven."

Narrated 'Abdullah bin 'Amr:

Once the Prophet PBUH remained behind us in a journey. He joined us while we were
performing ablution for the prayer which was over-due. We were just passing wet
hands over our feet (and not washing them properly) so the Prophet PBUH addressed us
in a loud voice and said twice or thrice: "Save your heels from the fire."

Prayer - 26th Jumada al-Thani 1433 (17th May 2012)

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) was ordered (by Allah) to
prostrate on seven parts and not to tuck up the clothes or hair (while
praying). Those parts are: the forehead (along with the tip of nose), both
hands, both knees, and (toes of) both feet.

Is this hadith true?
Umar said, "We do not enter your churches because of the statues and pictures in them." Ibn 'Abbas used to pray in a church provided there were no statues in it.

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said, “When Allah wishes good for someone, He bestows upon him the understanding of the Deen.” [Bukhari]

Saying of Caliph Umar ra is not Hadith.

It was narrated that Aslam the freed slave of ‘Umar said:

When ‘Umar went to Syria, one of the leaders of the Christians made food for him and called him. ‘Umar said: We will not enter your churches because of the images that are in them – meaning the statues.

Narrated by ‘Abd al-Razzaaq in al-Musannaf (1/411 and 10/398).

Hadith Qudsi 31:
On the authority of Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) related:
A man said: By Allah, Allah will not forgive So-and-so. At this Allah the Almighty said: Who is he who swears by Me that I will not forgive So-and-so? Verily I have forgiven So-and-so and have nullified your [own good] deeds (1) (or as he said [it]).

(1) A similar Hadith, which is given by Abu Dawud, indicates that the person referred to was a goldly man whose previous good deeds were brought to nought through presuming to declare that Allah would not forgive someone's bad deeds.

It was related by Muslim.

prostrations, bowing, and the sitting interval between the two prostrations
was about the same.

I heard Allah's Apostle SAW saying, "The reward of deeds depends upon the

intended. So whoever emigrated for worldly benefits or for a woman to marry, his
emigration was for what he emigrated for."

Prayer - 1st Rajab 1433 (22nd May 2012)

Narrated 'Abdullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

You should not give away a part of your prayer to Satan by thinking that it
is necessary to depart (after finishing the prayer) from one's right side
only; I have seen the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) often leave
from the left side.

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 811

Muslim Book 33, Number 6404:
'Imran b. Husain repotted that it was said to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him): Has there been drawn a distinction between the people of Paradise and the denizens of hell? He said: Yes. It was again said: (If it is so), then What is the use of doing good deeds ? Thereupon he said: Everyone is facilitated in what has been created for him.

Narrated 'Ata' (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

I heard Jabir bin 'Abdullah saying, "The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa

I said, "What does he mean by that?"

He replied, "I
think he means only raw garlic."

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 813

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: "It is not permissible to give charity to a rich man (or one who is independent of means) or to one who is strong and healthy." [Sunan An-Nasai - Sahih]

'Strong' means the one who is capable of earning his livelihood. And ‘healthy’ means the one whose hands and feet are wholesome and not handicapped, and he is not incapacitated by some illness. If such a person is poor despite his labour or is unable to find employment, then he will be entitled to receive Zakah or Sadaqah.

Muslim Book 34, Number 6443:

'Abdullah b. 'Umar reported: I went to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon
him) in the morning and he heard the voice of two persons who had an
argumentation with each other about a verse. Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon
him) came to us (and) the (signs) of anger could be seen on his face. He said:
Verily, the (peoples) before you were ruined because of their disputation in the
Book.

Prayer - 3rd Rajab 1433 (24th May 2012)

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Ghusl (taking a bath) on
Friday is compulsory for every Muslim reaching the age of puberty."

Bukhari Vol. 1 : No. 817

Muslim Book 1, Number 0029:
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Huraira that when the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) breathed his last and Abu Bakr was appointed as his successor (Caliph), those amongst the Arabs who wanted to become apostates became apostates. 'Umar b. Khattab said to Abu Bakr: Why would you fight against the people, when the Messenger of Allah declared : I have been directed to fight against people so long as they do not say: There is no god but Allah, and he who professed it was granted full protection of his property and life on my behalf except for a right? His (other) affairs rest with Allah. Upon this Abu Bakr said: By Allah, I would definitely fight against him who severed prayer from Zakat, for it is the obligation upon the rich. By Allah, I would fight against them even to secure the cord (used for hobbling the feet of a camel) which they used to give to the Messenger of Allah (as zakat) but now they have withheld it. Umar b. Khattab remarked: By Allah, I found nothing but the fact that Allah had opened the heart of Abu Bakr for (perceiving the justification of) fighting (against those who refused to pay Zakat) and I fully recognized that the (stand of Abu Bakr) was right.
