Abu Yahya Suhaib bin Sinan (may Allah be pleased with him) reported:

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said,

“How wonderful is the case of a believer; there is good for him in everything and this applies only to a believer. If prosperity attends him, he expresses gratitude to Allah and that is good for him; and if adversity befalls him, he endures it patiently and that is better for him.”

[Narrated by Muslim]

Asalam Alaikkum Rahamatullah wa Barakatu all my Brothers and Sisters;

I love the quotes we continue to share FROM; Surahs, Ayats, Sahih, Bukari, and other Hadiths, what a loving way to upbuild, our Muslim family even though we are all in different parts of the World. The internet can be used for positive. INSHA ALLAH we will continue. SALAAM. :statisfie

Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The supplication most often recited by The Messenger of Allah

[SAWW](PBUH) was: "Allahumma atina fid-dunya hasanatan, wa fil-akhirati hasanatan, wa qina `adhab-annar (O our Rubb! give us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the punishment of the Fire).”’

[Al-Bukhari Book 35, Chapter 09, Hadith # 6507].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Kahf Ayat 16. "your Lord will open a way for you from His Mercy and will make easy for you your affair" It is desirable to recite this Du`a which is mentioned in the Qur’an (2:201) and which comprehends all that is good both in this life and the Hereafter. The Messenger of Allah

[SAWW](PBUH) made it a habit to recite this Du`a, and the Companions were eager to follow him in all his words and actions.

Hazrat Abdullah bin Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) reported that The Messenger of Allah

[SAWW](PBUH) used to say: "Allahumma inni as’alukal-huda wat-tuqa wal-`afafa wal-ghina (O Allah! I ask You for guidance, piety, chastity and self-sufficiency)".

[Muslim Book 37, Chapter 17, Hadith # 6566].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Kahf Ayat 17. "He whom Allah guides, is rightly guided;" This Hadith contains four words, the meanings and implications of which constitute its essence. These words are guidance, piety (fear of Allah), chastity and sufficiency. Guidance here means guidance at every turn of life and steadfastness on the path of truth. Fear of Allah is the greatest means of piety and strongest defense against sins. Chastity is the state of being free from what is unlawful. Self-sufficiency is the antonym of poverty and here it means the self-contentment. What it implies is that one should not care for what people possess. In view of all these qualities, the prayer of the Prophet

[SAWW](PBUH) mentioned in this Hadith is very comprehensive and valuable.

Trade - 27th Shawwal 1433 (14th September 2012)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Allah says, 'I will be
against three persons on the Day of Resurrection:

1. One who makes a covenant in My Name, but he proves treacherous.

2. One who sells a free person (as a slave) and eats the price,

3. And one who employs a laborer and gets the full work done by him but
does not pay him his wages.' "

Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 430[/h]

Hazrat Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah

[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Keep only a believer for a companion and let only a pious eat your food".

[At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2395 and Abu Dawud Hadith # 4832].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Kahf Ayat 04. "let him find out which is the good lawful food," This Hadith forbids Muslims from befriending infidels and stresses that they should establish a bond of friendship and fraternity with the pious persons only. The above Hadith signifies that taking believers for company has good consequences on the Muslim. While feeding only pious people compels the Muslim host to provide only Halal or lawful foodstuff for his household as well as his guests.

Agriculture - 1st Dhul Qa'dah 1433 (17th September 2012)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Whoever keeps a dog,
one Qirat of the reward of his good deeds is deducted daily, unless the dog
is used for guarding a farm or cattle."

Abu Huraira (in another narration)
said from the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam), "unless it is used
for guarding sheep or farms, or for hunting."

Narrated Abu Hazim from Abu
Huraira: The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "A dog for
guarding cattle or for hunting."

Water - 2nd Dhul Qa'dah 1433 (18th September 2012)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "There are three
persons whom Allah will not look at on the Day of Resurrection, nor will he
purify them and theirs shall be a severe punishment. They are:

1. A man who possessed superfluous water, on a way and he withheld it from
travellers.

2. A man who gave a pledge of allegiance to a ruler and he gave it only for
worldly benefits. If the ruler gives him something he gets satisfied, and
if the ruler withholds something from him, he gets dissatisfied.

3. And man who displayed his goods for sale after the 'Asr prayer and
wrongfully said, 'By Allah, except Whom None has the right to be
worshipped, I have been given so much for my goods,' and somebody believes
him (and buys them)."

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) then recited: "Verily! Those who
purchase a little gain at the cost of Allah's Covenant and their oaths."

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah

[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Remember more often the destroyer of pleasures – death.” [At-Tirmidhi Hadith # 2307].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Kahf Ayat 21. "Promise of Allah is true, and that there can be no doubt about the Hour." Being heedful and talking about death checks man from being lost in the worldly pleasures and seductions. We are, therefore, supposed to remember death frequently and to avoid remaining indifferent to post-death affairs and occurrences.

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah

[SAWW](PBUH) said, "Verily, Allah likes three things for you and disapproves three things for you. He likes that you should worship Him Alone, not to associate anything with Him (in worship) and to hold fast to the Rope of Allah and not to be divided among yourselves; and He disapproves for you irrelevant talk, persistent questioning and the squandering of the wealth.” [Muslim Book 018, Chapter 03, Hadith # 4255].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Kahf Ayat 22. "So debate not (about their number, etc.) except with the clear proof" Beside stressing Tauhid, holding fast to the Rope of Allah and unity (which are greatly liked by Allah), this Hadith forbids unnecessary debate, hair-splitting and extravagance as all the three are disliked by Allah. Wealth has a great importance in man’s life since it is the very source of sustenance and basis of his livelihood, its wastage is akin to cutting the branch of the tree on which one is sitting.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) reported: The Messenger of Allah

[SAWW](PBUH) visited a Bedouin who was sick. Whenever he visited an ailing person, he would say, "La ba’sa, tahurun in sha’ Allah [No harm, (it will be a) purification (from sins), if Allah wills].”

[Al-Bukhari Book 09, Chapter 93, Hadith # 562].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Kahf Ayat 24. "Except (with the saying), "If Allah wills!" According to this Hadith, a patient should be told that his disease will purge out his sins. To sit beside the sick, to comfort his heart and to say a few words of sympathy to him was the Prophet’s

[SAWW](PBUH) practice.

Hazrat Masruq (May Allah be pleased with him) said: We visited `Abdullah bin Mas`ud (May Allah be pleased with him) and he said to us: O people! He who has the knowledge of any matter may convey it to the others. And he who has no knowledge, thereof, should say: "Allahu a`lam (Allah knows better).” It is a part and parcel of knowledge that a man who has no knowledge of a matter should say: "Allah knows better.” Allah said to His Prophet

[SAWW](PBUH): "Say (O Muhammad

[SAWW](PBUH)): `No wage do I ask of you for this (the Qur’an), nor am I one of the Mutakallifun (those who pretend and fabricate things which do not exist).”’ (38:86)

[Al-Bukhari Book 06, Chapter 60, Hadith # 333].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Kahf Ayat 26. "Allah knows best how long they stayed. With Him is (the knowledge of) the unseen" If one does not know about something, he should not say anything about it by way of conjecture, speculation and guesswork because this is also pretension which is forbidden. When religious scholars are asked about anything which they do not know, they should confess their ignorance. Such a confession is also a mark of scholarship. In other words, they should abstain from giving verdict about any matter without making a thorough study and research on it.

Loans - 8th Dhul Qa'dah 1433 (24th September 2012)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "If someone leaves some
property, it will be for the inheritors, and if he leaves some weak
offspring, it will be for us to support them."

Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 583

Found In: Sahih Bukhari Chapter No: 2
Narrated: Anas
The Prophet said, "Whoever possesses the following three qualities will have the sweetness (delight) of faith: 1. The one to whom Allah and His Apostle becomes dearer than anything else. 2. Who loves a person and he loves him only for Allah's sake. 3. Who hates to revert to Atheism (disbelief) as he hates to be thrown into the fire."
Relevance: 22.684

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said. "The (Hell) Fire is surrounded with all kinds of desires and passions, while Jannah is surrounded with adversities.”

[Muslim
Book 40, Chapter 01, Hadith #
6779].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Kahf Ayat 29. "Verily, We have prepared for the Zalimun" The way to Hell is littered with these evils. When a person crosses them, it is an indication that he has entered into Hell. On the other side exists a series of griefs and calamities, Islamic injunctions and obligations (the compliance with which is often irksome for man) impede his way to Jannah. When a person endures them with patience he, in fact, overcomes those obstacles and becomes eligible for Jannah.

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Procrastination
(delay) in repaying debts by a wealthy person is injustice."

Bukhari Vol. 3 : No. 585

Hazrat Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH) said, "Allah, the Exalted, has said: `I have prepared for my righteous slaves what no eye has seen, no ear has heard, and the mind of no man has conceived.’ If you wish, recite: `No person knows what is kept hidden for them of joy as a reward for what they used to do.”’ (32:17)

[Al-Bukhari
Book 06, Chapter 60, Hadith #
302].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Kahf Ayat 04. "These! For them will be ‘Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens)" About the gifts and pleasures of Jannah, here a Hadith has been stated in the Words of Allah. The subject matter is confirmed from the Verse of the Qur’an given in the text of the Hadith.

Narrated Ibn 'Umar (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

A man came to the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) and said, "I am
often betrayed in bargaining." The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam)
advised him, "When you buy something, say (to the seller), 'No deception.'
" The man used to say so afterwards.

Sahih Bukhari Volume 001, Book 009, Hadith Number 472.
Sahih Bukhari Book 09. Virtues Of The Prayer Hall (Sutra Of The Musalla)
Narated By Ibn 'Abbas : Once I came riding a she-ass when I had just attained the age of puberty. Allah's Apostle was offering the prayer at Mina with no wall in front of him and I passed in front of some of the row. There I dismounted and let my she-ass loose to graze and entered the row and nobody objected to me about it.

Hazrat Anas (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: There were two brothers in the days of the Messenger of Allah [SAWW](PBUH). One of them used to attend the Prophet’s circle (to acquire knowledge) and the other used to earn their living). Once the latter complained to the Prophet (PBUH) against the former (for not earning his living). He (PBUH) replied, "Perhaps you are being provided because of him". [At-Tirmidhi, Hadith #
2345].

Lesson : as mentioned above in Surah Al-Kahf Ayat 32. "And put forward to them the example of two men" This Hadith evidently shows that it is permissible and desirable to devote oneself or make someone else to devote himself for religious knowledge. Such students of religious knowledge should not be considered a burden. Similarly, one should also not ignore those students and scholars who are devoted to such knowledge because Allah makes their help a means of increasing the donor’s sources of subsistence.
