Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah



As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu

Invocations - 22nd Dhul Hijjah 1432 (18th November 2011)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Abu-l-Qasim (the Prophet) (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "On Friday
there is a particular time if a Muslim happens to be praying and invoking
Allah for something good during that time, Allah will surely fulfill his
request."


The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) pointed out with his
hand. We thought that he wanted to illustrate how short that time was.

MuslimBook 2, Number 0446:
Humran, the freed slave of Uthman reported: One day Uthman b. Affan performed the ablution well, and then said: I saw Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) perform ablution, the best ablution, and then observed: He who performed ablution like this and then went towards the mosque and nothing (but the love of) prayer urged him (to do so), all his previous (minor) sins would be expiated.

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):




Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Whoever says, 'Subhan
Allah wa bihamdihi,' one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins
even if they were as much as the foam of the sea."

Invocations - 25th Dhul Hijjah 1432 (21st November 2011)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "There are two expressions
which are very easy for the tongue to say, but they are very heavy in the
balance and are very dear to The Beneficent (Allah), and they are, 'Subhan
Allah Al-'Azim and 'Subhan Allah wa bihamdihi.' "

Muslim Book 4, Number 0758:
Salim narrated it on the authority of his father who reported: I saw the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) raising his hands apposite the shoulders at the time of beginning the prayer and before bowing down and after coming back to the position after bowing. but he did not raise them between two prostrations.

Invocations - 26th Dhul Hijjah 1432 (22nd November 2011)

Narrated Abu Musa (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "The example of the one
who celebrates the Praises of his Lord (Allah) in comparison to the one who
does not celebrate the Praises of his Lord, is that of a living creature
compared to a dead one."

Muslim Book 43, Number 7153:
Tariq b. Shihab reported that a Jew said to'Umar: You recite a verse which, if it had been revealed in relation to us, we would have taken that day as the day of rejoicing. Thereupon 'Umar said: I know where it was revealed and on the day when it was revealed and where Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) had been at that time when it was revealed. It was revealed on the day of 'Arafa (ninth of Dhu'l Hijjah) and Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) had been staying in 'Arafat. Sufyan said: I doubt, whether it was Friday or not (and the verse referred to) is this: "Today I have perfected your religion for you and completed My favours upon you "(v. 4).

To Make The Heart Tender - 27th Dhul Hijjah 1432 (23rd November 2011)

Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "There are two blessings
which many people lose: (They are) Health and free time for doing good."

Muslim Book 19, Number 4307:
It has been narrated on the authority of Abdullah that the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) said : There will be for every perfidious person on the Day of Judgment a flag by which he will be recognised. It will be announced: Here is the breach of faith of so and so.

To Make The Heart Tender - 29th Dhul Hijjah 1432 (25th November 2011)

Narrated Mujahid (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

'Abdullah bin 'Umar said, "Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam)
took hold of my shoulder and said, 'Be in this world as if you were a
stranger or a traveller.'



" The sub-narrator added: Ibn 'Umar used to say,
"If you survive till the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning,
and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the
evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your
life for your death."

To Make The Heart Tender - 2nd Muharram 1433 (27th November 2011)

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Allah says, 'I have
nothing to give but Paradise as a reward to my believer slave, who, if I
cause his dear friend (or relative) to die, remains patient (and hopes for
Allah's Reward)."

To Make The Heart Tender - 3rd Muharram 1433 (28th November 2011)



Narrated Ibn 'Abbas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):


I brought water to Uthman bin 'Affan to perform the ablution while he wassitting on his seat.



He performed the ablution in a perfect way and said,"I saw the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) performing the ablutionin this place and he performed it in a perfect way and said, "Whoeverperforms the ablution as I have done this time and then proceeds to themosque and offers a two-Rak'at prayer and then sits there (waiting for thecompulsory congregational prayers), then all his past sins will beforgiven."



The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) further added, "Donot be conceited (thinking that your sins will be forgiven because of yourprayer)."

Muslim Book 33, Number 6409:
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (way peace be upon him) as saying: There was argument between Adam and Moses. Moses said to Adam: You are our father. You did us harm and caused us to get out of Paradise. Adam said to him: You are Moses. Allah selected you (for direct conversation with you) and wrote with His own Hand the Book (Torah) for you. Despite this you blame me for an act which Allah had ordained for me forty years before He created me. Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) said:.This is how Adam came the better of Moses and Adam came the better of Moses.
 
Muslim Book 34, Number 6443:
'Abdullah b. 'Umar reported: I went to Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) in the morning and he heard the voice of two persons who had an argumentation with each other about a verse. Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) came to us (and) the (signs) of anger could be seen on his face. He said: Verily, the (peoples) before you were ruined because of their disputation in the Book.

To Make The Heart Tender - 4th Muharram 1433 (29th November 2011)


Narrated Hakim bin Hizam (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):


I asked the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) (for some money) and he

gave me, and then again I asked him and he gave me, and then again I askedhim and he gave me and he then said,

"This wealth is (like) green and sweet(fruit), and whoever takes it without greed, Allah will bless it for him,but whoever takes it with greed, Allah will not bless it for him, and hewill be like the one who eats but is never satisfied.


And the upper(giving) hand is better than the lower (taking) hand."

Narrated Abu Huraira (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "Riches does not mean
having a great amount of property, but riches is self-contentment."

Narrated Abu Huraira:

The Prophet said: Abraham did not tell lies except three. (One of them was) when Abraham passed by a tyrant and (his wife) Sara was accompanying him (Abu Huraira then mentioned the whole narration and said:) (The tyrant) gave her Hajar. Sara said, "Allah saved me from the hands of the Kafir (i.e. infidel) and gave me Hajar to serve me." (Abu Huraira added:) That (Hajar) is your mother, O Banu Ma'-As-Sama' (i.e., the Arabs).

Prophet Muhammad {peace be upon him} said:-
"Three { 3 } things that I swear to be true are -

#1/ ~that a man's property does not become less on account of (giving) charity.
#2/ ~That when a man is wronged and bears it patiently ---Allah will give him great honor on that account.and
3/ That when a man begs[without dire need]Allah opens for him a doortoward poverty."

Re: Hadeeth of the day and Dua

Muslim Book 1, Number 0013:
It is narrated on the authority of Abu Ayyub that a man came to the Prophet (may peace be upon him) and said: Direct me to a deed which draws me near to Paradise and takes me away from the Fire (of Hell). Upon this he (the Holy Prophet) said: You worship Allah and never associate anything with Him, establish prayer, and pay Zakat, and do good to your kin. When he turned his back, the Messenger of Allah (may peace be upon him) remarked : If he adheres to what he has been ordered to do, he would enter Paradise.
