Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah
3rd Ramadan 1437 (8th June 2016)

Narrated Hakim bin Hizam (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

I said to Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam), "Before embracing
Islam I used to do good deeds like giving in charity, slave-manumitting,
and the keeping of good relations with Kith and kin. Shall I be rewarded
for those deeds?"

The Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) replied, "You

became Muslim with all those good deeds (Without losing their reward)."

Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 517

On the authority of Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Paradise and Hell-fire disputed together, and Hell-fire said: In me are the mighty and the haughty. Paradise said: In me are the weak and the poor. So Allah judged between them, [saying]: You are Paradise, My mercy; through you I show mercy to those I wish. And you are Hell-fire, My punishment; through you I punish those I wish, and it is incumbent upon Me that each of you shall have its fill. It was related by Muslim (also by al-Bukhari and at-Tirmidhi).
(Hadith Qudsi 39)

down from Heaven and one of them says, 'O Allah! Compensate every person
who spends in Your Cause,' and the other (angel) says, 'O Allah! Destroy
every miser.' "

Bukhari Vol. 2 : No. 522

Narrated Abu Aiyub: A man said to the Prophet (ﷺ) "Tell me of such a deed as will make me enter Paradise." The people said, "What is the matter with him? What is the matter with him?" The Prophet (ﷺ) said, "He has something to ask. (What he needs greatly) The Prophet (ﷺ) said: (In order to enter Paradise) you should worship Allah and do not ascribe any partners to Him, offer prayer perfectly, pay the Zakat and keep good relations with your Kith and kin."
(Bukhari Vol. 2, Book 24, Hadith 479)

Rasoolullaah Sallallaahu `Alayhi wa Sallam said, "Food for two people suffices three (Muslims), and food for three suffices four (Muslims)." [Narrated in Saheeh al-Bukhaari.]

From his father from his grandfather that the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi
Wa Sallam) said, "Every Muslim has to give in charity." The people asked,
"O Allah's Prophet! If someone has nothing to give, what will he do?"

He
said, "He should work with his hands and benefit himself and also give in
charity (from what he earns)." The people further asked, "If he cannot find
even that?"

He replied, "He should help the needy who appeal for help."

Then the people asked, "If he cannot do that?" He replied, "Then he should
perform good deeds and keep away from evil deeds and this will be regarded
as charitable deeds."

Abu Bakr wrote to me what Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam)

or sheep and did not pay their Zakat, those animals will be brought on the
Day of Resurrection far bigger and fatter than before and they will tread
him under their hooves, and will butt him with their horns, and (those
animals will come in circle):

When the last does its turn, the first will

start again, and this punishment will go on till Allah has finished the
judgments amongst the people."

Once I gave a horse in Allah's Cause (in charity) but that person did not
take care of it. I intended to buy it, as I thought he would sell it at a
low price. So, I asked the Prophet (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) about it.

He said, "Neither buy, nor take back your alms which you have given, even
if the seller were willing to sell it for one Dirham, for he who takes back
his alms is like the one who swallows his own vomit."

12th Ramadan 1437 (17th June 2016)

Narrated Talha bin 'Ubaid-Ullah (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

A bedouin with unkempt hair came to Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) and said, "O Allah's Apostle! Inform me what Allah has made
compulsory for me as regards the prayers."

He replied: "You have to offer
perfectly the five compulsory prayers in a day and night (24 hours), unless
you want to pray Nawafil."

The bedouin further asked, "Inform me what Allah
has made compulsory for me as regards fasting."

He replied, "You have to
fast during the whole month of Ramadan, unless you want to fast more as
Nawafil." The bedouin further asked, "Tell me how much Zakat Allah has
enjoined on me." Thus, Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam)
informed him about all the rules (i.e. fundamentals) of Islam.

The bedouin
then said, "By Him Who has honored you, I will neither perform any Nawafil
nor will I decrease what Allah has enjoined on me.

Allah's Apostle
(Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, "If he is saying the truth, he will
succeed (or he will be granted Paradise)."
