Imran b. Husain repotted that it was said to Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him): Has there been drawn a distinction between the people of Paradise and the denizens of hell? He said: Yes. It was again said: (If it is so), then What is the use of doing good deeds? Thereupon he said: Everyone is facilitated in what has been created for him.

A man whom Allah has given the (knowledge of the) Qur'an and he recites it during the hours of night and day and the one who wishes says: If I were given the same as this (man) has been given, I would do what he does, and a man whom Allah has given wealth and he spends it in the just and right way, in which case the one who wishes says, 'If I were given the same as he has been given, I would do what he does.'

Hadhrat `Abdullaah ibn `Abbaas رضي الله عنه narrates, “The following Ayah (Verse) was recited in the presence of Rasoolullaah صلى الله عليه وسلم: “O mankind! Eat from that in the earth which is Halaal (permissible) and Tayyib (good; wholesome)…” Hadhrat Sa`d ibn Abi Waqqaas رضي الله عنه stood up and said, “Ya Rasoolallaah! Make Du`a that Allaah makes me from those who are Mustajaab-ud-Da`wah (those whose Du`as are always answered instantaneously).” Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم said to him, “O Sa`d! Make your food Tayyib (i.e. let your food be Halaal and Tayyib and let your income be Halaal and Tayyib), and you will be Mustajaab-ud-Da`wah. By the One in Whose Hand is the life of Muhammad! A slave (of Allaah) puts a morsel of Haraam (prohibited) food into his stomach, and as a result of that, his good deeds are not accepted for 40 days! And, any slave whose flesh has been nourished on Haraam and on Riba (interest), then the fire (of Jahannam) is more suitable for him.” [Narrated by Imaam at-Tabraani in al-Mu`jam al-Awsat, and by Imaam ibn Katheer in his Tafseer.]

Hafsah (May Allah be pleased with her) reported : Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) used to use his right hand for eating, drinking and wearing his clothes and used to use his left hand for other purposes.

27th Dhul Qa'dah 1437 (30th August 2016)

Narrated Anas (Radi-Allahu 'anhu):

I was the butler of the people in the house of Abu Talha, and in those days
drinks were prepared from dates. Allah's Apostle (Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wa
Sallam) ordered somebody to announce that alcoholic drinks had been
prohibited.

Abu Talha ordered me to go out and spill the wine. I went out
and spilled it, and it flowed in the streets of Medina.

Some people said, "Some people were killed and wine was still in their stomachs." On that the
Divine revelation came:-- "On those who believe And do good deeds There is
no blame For what they ate (in the past)." (5.93)

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) went to the (Baqi') cemetery and said, "May you be secured from punishment, O dwellers of abode of the believers! We, if Allah wills, will follow you. I wish we see my brothers." The Companions said, "O Messenger of Allah! Are not we your brothers?" He (ﷺ) said, "You are my Companions, but my brothers are those who have not come into the world yet." They said; "O Messenger of Allah! How will you recognize those of your Ummah who are not born yet?" He (ﷺ) said, "Say, if a man has white-footed horses with white foreheads among horses which are pure black, will he not recognize his own horses?" They said; "Certainly, O Messenger of Allah!" He (ﷺ) said, "They (my followers) will come with bright faces and white limbs because of Wudu'; and I will arrive at the Haud (Al-Kauthar) ahead of them."

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Abbas that the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) said: “There are no days during which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these days,” meaning the (first) ten days of Dhul- Hijjah. Abu Qatada al-Ansari (Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) was asked about his fasting. The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) felt annoyed. Thereupon 'Umar (Allah be pleased with him) said:
We are pleased with Allah as the Lord, with Islam as our Code of Life, with Muhammad as the Messenger and with our pledge (to you for willing and cheerful submission) as a (sacred) commitment. He was then asked about perpetual fasting, whereupon he said: He neither fasted nor did he break it, or he did not fast and he did not break it. He was then asked about fasting for two days and breaking one day. He (the Holy Prophet) said: And who has strength enough to do it? He was asked about fasting for a day and breaking for two days, whereupon he said: May Allah bestow upon us strength to do it. He was then asked about fasting for a day and breaking on the other, whereupon he said: That is the fasting of my brother David (peace be upon him). He was then asked about fasting on Monday, whereupon he said: It was the day on which I was born. on which I was commissioned with prophethood or revelation was sent to me, (and he further) said: Three days' fasting every month and of the whole of Ramadan every year is a perpetual fast.
