SubHanAllah! Reminds of the Ayah

يَوْمَ يَكُونُ النَّاسُ كَالْفَرَاشِ الْمَبْثُوثِ
[101:4] It is the Day when people will be like moths, dispersed

^Jazaakiallah khayr for sharing your pictures. I didn't know Mount Safa had been fenced off. Many people would stand on it to make du3a, some would climb right up and be at the back near the wall, and some just near the beginning where it joins the floor. Sometimes it was all white with people, and you could hardly see it, with everyone making du3a on it. Subhaanallah...

walaikum assalam
yes it was the zam zam area. steps on the left i think led to area for women and the other for men. on men's side was the well of zam zam.

Re: News from the Haramain Ash-Shareefain

It was an area which had many taps for drinking Zamzam.

At the far end there was a glass window through which we could see a few pipelines going down and pumps etc. Something similar to this:

It was later removed to ease the congestion in Tawaf

^ Are there still any segregated areas like that within the precincts of the masjid where one can utilise the zamzam fully as one did downstairs there?

Masjid al-Nabawi

Calligraphy of the Prophets :saws: saying:

مَا بَيْنَ بَيْتِى وَمِنْبَرِى رَوْضَةٌ مِنْ رِيَاضِ الْجَنَّةِ

"What is between my house and my Mimbar is a garden from amongst the gardens of paradise."

(Sahih Muslim 1391, Sahih al Bukhari 1196)

Not really. Within Masjidul Haraam, in almost all the Musallaa areas, (within which only some have Maa' uz Zam Zam), the Niqaab has to be kept on, as there is no guarantee that no man will come there. Although, at quiet times it is possible to sit there with no men around.

With regards to the Maa' uz Zam Zam generally, there is no place that I have come across till date, within which the area is fully segregated. Who knows whats to come in the future plans? :ia:.

Yesterday they were showing some of the calligraphy on the wall beside the current mihraab in Masjid an-Nabawi, though the pictures were a bit fuzzy, so am using pics from the net here:

The Camera On The Left Is Used Where They Set Audio Levels And Know When To Switch On Mic. It Also Moves As I Remember When People Were Saying Takbeerat Of Eid Loud, The Camera Was Moving. And When Sheikh Budair Asked For Mic To Be Put Higher. Signals Were Made To This Camera.

They Were Showing Pictures Of Scripture On Ka'abah Today On One Side. I Remember One User Assisting Me On The IOH Thread When I Asked What Was On Each Side Of The Ka'abah.
