There are many Sahaba's mentioned in Quran with the name. Like Hazrat Bilal was sahaba. Hazrat Abu Bakar Sadeeq and Hazrat Usman Ghani were sahaba and Khaleefa.

:sl:

Correct me if I'm wrong please, I was thinking about this last night and I don't think there are any Sahaba mentioned in the Quran by name. Can anyone confirm this?

no my dear sister only Zaid had been mentioned in the Qur`aan by the name clearly...

"And (remember) when you said to him (Zaid bin Harithah, the freedslave of the Prophet SAW) on whom Allah has bestowed Grace (by guiding him to Islam) and you (O Muhammad SAW too) have done favour (by manumitting him) "Keep your wife to yourself, and fear Allah." But you did hide in yourself (i.e. what Allah has already made known to you that He will give her to you in marriage) that which Allah will make manifest, you did fear the people (i.e., Muhammad SAW married the divorced wife of his manumitted slave) whereas Allah had a better right that you should fear Him. So when Zaid had accomplished his desire from her (i.e. divorced her), We gave her to you in marriage, so that (in future) there may be no difficulty to the believers in respect of (the marriage of) the wives of their adopted sons when the latter have no desire to keep them (i.e. they have divorced them). And Allah's Command must be fulfilled. "

Surat Al Ah`zaab verse # 37

Sister only Zaid (ra) is mentioned in the quran by name. There might be a reference to any sahabi without name...for example in surah at-Tawbah
verse 40 Allaah says ".....and he said to his companion, "Do not grieve; indeed Allah is with us." ....." The companion mentioned here is Abu Bakr (ra).

right

and also in Surat Attawbah verse # 118

"And (He did forgive also) the three [who did not join the Tabuk expedition (whom the Prophet SAW)] left (i.e. he did not give his judgement in their case, and their case was suspended for Allah's Decision) till for them the earth, vast as it is, was straitened and their ownselves were straitened to them, and they perceived that there is no fleeing from Allah, and no refuge but with Him. Then, He accepted their repentance, that they might repent (unto Him). Verily, Allah is the One Who accepts repentance, Most Merciful. "

the three are: Ka`abb Bin Malik, Hilaal Bin Umayyah and Mirarah Bin Arrabee`

What do you mean?

Abdullah ibn al Mubarak rahimahullah mentioned two conditions that makes one a sa7abi

1- That he/she saw/heard the Prophet
2- Lived/died a Muslim

Since Isa alayhi'salam fulfilled these two conditions, some of the ulemma mentioned as being from the sa7abah .

Ibn Hajar rahimahullah mentioned in al-Isaabah fi Tamyeez (his collection of biographies of the sa7abah)

adh-Dhahabi mentioned in 'at-Tajrid fi Asma' as-Sahabah': "'Isa bin Maryam is a Prophet and a Companion since he saw the Prophet (صلى الله عليه و سلم). So, he is the last of the Companions to die."

and some other ulemma mentioned this as well

I'm not saying he IS a sa7abi however he's the only other POSSIBLE companion mentioned.....

wallaahu'3lam

Allah SWT also cleared Aisha r.a. name in a verse, but I can't remember which one it is.
It's basically the one where Aisha r.a. was falling asleep covered on her camel and left behind, and was taken back to madina by another shahaba, which ignited rumor that Aisha r.a. did something wrong with that shahaba, so Allah SWT proved her innocence in a verse.

If I'm not mistaken akhi, her name isn't mentioned all though the verses are pertaining directly to her. It's at the beginning of Surah Noor where she is cleared. Surah Noor has that really beautifull verse in it also 35, "Allah is the noor of the heavens and the Earth, the similitude of his light is ......"
