Have you or any of your relatives/friend ever seen jinns?

I thought the jinn were unseen?

Here are a few wacky jinn stories. Apparently they're up to speed with technology now.

Jinns are generally unseen, however some can take material forms which would make them visible to humans in certain cases. I know that the Prophet Solomon (as) had an army which was made up of both humans and jinns, obviously he would have been able to see them.

I have heard many jinn stories, although to be honest it's impossible to tell which ones were really authentic jinn sightings and whether it was just an illusion or over-active imagination or something.

I heard they are usually found in deserted places or something like that, and that most of them are astray? I'm not sure though. Although I do know the Qur'an was sent to the jinn also, and on the Day of Judgement they will be held to account as well as mankind.

They can take a form or shape like a Snake or Dog. You can't see their true forms, some say they appear as black shadowy figures.

I think that the scientists don´t know all secrets. Jinns might be as mysterious to them like to anybody. Scientists have to read the Quran to get more knowledge about them.
 
No idea if any scientific investigations have been dedicated to seeking jinns. See if you can find that video bro @Kiro inshaAllah.

Some facts for them with start with though ;): they are made of smokeless fire, tend to be invisible, can sometimes change form to be visible, and live in communities like humans do.

I'm not sure whether science is yet advanced enough to identify a living being posessing characteristics so different from what is considered at the moment to be the 'universal' biological requirements for life. Life so different to what we understand we fail to recognise it as life even when it is in front of us (if that makes sense).
 
I couldn't really find the video I had in mind but this might do a bit. Science is conclusions based on observation and you can't really observe the unseen.

There's some linguistic science. They were created from smokeless fire so you can make some observations from that. So they're not of physical matter but they are made of or composed of energy because fire is a type of energy or the energy that fire emits right?

Yes, I have seen a jinn. That was many years ago. I was walking with a friend in the countryside far away from houses at 2 a.m. there was a small canal on our left. There was a big tree with long and huge branches over the canal. I heard a lot of stories about people that were killed and died under or beside that tree. While we were walking, we saw a dog lying on the ground next to the canal. We approached it but, for our amazement, it didn't stand up or walk, it moved beside me for more than 5 or ore meters. It didn't even bark. It was looking at my eyes and moving its head slowly right and left like the Indians when they agree on something you say.I walked fast as it passed by us and lit a cigarette. My friend was braver than me and wanted to check what was that, but I refused and kept walking. Can you imagine a dog sitting on its back legs and stretching its front leg and moves for nearly 10 meters long without standing or even barking. Besides, dogs never sit beside a canal or pond.
 
Wow. Thats really scary. I will tell you a story of my friend. Approximately 10 years ago my friend moved to a new house , she lived there alone. My friend would wake up with bruises on her body, she felt several times someone hitting her at night, she would also hear things being thrown across the room. So my friend went to the gipsy who told her that in order to get rid of this jin my friend had to put candy and a glass of milk on the table. So my friend did that and hid under the blankets, in front of her bed was tv which reflected everything that happened at the back of the bed, she heard the sound of jinn opening the candy and in the reflection of tv she saw an animal like creature with horns and hoofs eating the candy. In the candy was gone and the glass was empty, after that jinn never bothered her again.
After she told me that story I couldnt sleep from fear.

I think that some kind of people (like an atheists) accept only a certain kind of science.

What if all the world scientists now would find out that jinns are real, there is the God etc. Would all those non-believing people start to believe them? I have some doubts...
 
Back to jinn stories (this thread was for them, not for the theories are they real or not); I am not sure if this was a jinn or not. A friend of mine, sister from Somalia told what happened when she once traveled to hers home in Somalia. They had a young girl there as maid. She didn´t speak any other language than hers own and hadn´t much education at all. At one evening they had gathered to watch TV together, this maid with them (in their tradition maids and other servants were like the family members). The maid was tired and slept. Then she suddenly started to speak with other voice tone, like an adult man and also she spoke by many different languages which she couldn´t know at all (like Finnish and Swedish). My friend told it was very scary and they hadn´t any idea what´s happening. After some time she slept and when they woke up her, she was normal again and hadn´t any idea if she had spoken something or not.

This is one I heard from uncle (in Pakistan), he said that he was cycling at night from work in almost near-darkness and going past the graveyard, when he saw a person just standing by its gates, he said it was a woman. A moment later he turned around and saw that person sitting behind him as if from nowhere. He began reciting duas and by the time he reached home the woman had gone. SubhanAllah he said he only thought later it must have been a jinn, he's a quite a strong tall man but he was terrified.
