Jazaikhair for your duas sis
Sis, The configuration seems to be ok.

Plz let me know this

1. Plz find the folder named "windows" in which drive it is. then the space left in it.

2. Is the cpu usage increasing as you open an internet page, or specifically if you see a video.

3. How many simultaneous programs are running.

Asma

asalam alaikum wr wb,

wa iyyakum sis :statisfie

1) Windows is in C drive

2) attachment 1 cpu usage when opening internet explorer
2a) attachment 2 when trying to view video

3) 2 programs are running (Windows messenger and LI)

wa alaikum asalam wr wb.

:sl:

Sister is this happening all the time?Even if you are not in internet?
I had the same problem.......it was a program.....REAL PLAYER...the newest version.
So whenever I opened the Player my CPU would go up to 90% of usage!
So even I closed the Player, the CPU was still 90%.
Then I typed Ctrl - Alt - Del and went in PROCESSES,where it shows which program uses the most of the memory, and clicked on the Real Player name and clicked END PROCESS.So like that the program is totally shutdown from the computer
So after that the process would go to normal...
When started your computer to act like that!?

Inshallah we will solve the problem somehow!

asalam alaikum wr wb,

JazakAllah khair Trax bro, May Allah reward you endlessly for your help inshaAllah. Ameen.

I just looked in processes and found the following programs that use most memory:

1) Mcshield.exe - 33,932 k

2) svchost.exe - 31,424 k

3) explorer exe. 13,828 k

4) fsssvc.exe 10,684 k

5) msnmsgr.exe 24,576 k

6) paltalk.exe 19,988 k

7) IEXPLORE.EXE 48,376 k

I don't know what some of these are. Should I end some of them?

I also have AOLacsd.exe. I don't have aol anymore but when I tried to end process it said terminating it ould cause system instability and loss of data. I'm too scared to end it? :?

wa alaikum asalam wr wb.

Sis:

Sis let me know the space left in C drive. , at times if its too less , the chances are there that the system may crash.

1. Do you have an antivirus. Scan the comp below is the site name.
http://housecall65.trendmicro.com/
This will take time. (2- 2.5 hours)

2. Still if its the same. then u need to

1. Add a good VGA card to the comp
2. Add more memory to the comp

What you can close:
Paltalk
IEXPLORER (this is the web page you are viewing)
MCShield (i think that is an antivirus)
msnmsgr (msn messenger)

Do not close:
svcohost
explorer.exe. (if you close this, the pc will shut down)

You can keep that fsscv thing.

I also have AOLacsd.exe. I don't have aol anymore but when I tried to end process it said terminating it ould cause system instability and loss of data. I'm too scared to end it? :?
Close it. See if you can find that program in your add/remove program list. If it is there, remove it.

Sister check first of all the internet speed:
http://www.auditmypc.com/internet-speed-test.asp

And tell me what speed you have!
Then check again here:
task_manager_explorer.gif

You see here in the picture ,in PROCESS.....then there are IMAGE NAME, ISER NAME then is the column: CPU. This shows what program uses the CPU most.
Now see which program uses the CPU most.
Here in the picture is foldtrajlite.exe .....95%

Then we will see what comes next.:)

And Why they didn't told you what is the problem that your CPU usage is very high?

asalam alaikum wr wb Asma sis,

The free space in C drive is 60.2GB. I just scanned my pc with McAfee and found no problems. I don't have an anti virus only McAfee site advisor. Aamir bro mentioned that MCShield might be an antivirus? If it is I have no idea how it got there lol. Do you know what it is?

Also in the link you gave me, in Terms of Use #10 it says I have to back-up my comp systems. Is this necessary?

asalam alaikum wr wb,

I've ended the processes you suggested. As for aol I'd already removed in from add/remove programs but there's a folder ACSCmn.dll in program files (common files) which won't delete. It says access is denied.

Also what is GameSpy arcade, and should I delete it?

asalam alaikum wr wb,

The download speed is 0.14Mb and upload is 0.11Mb. The process using most memory is IEXPLORER.EXE 63.304 k. I've ended this as Aamir bro advised, but now I can see it again. It's going from 00, 02 and sometimes 10. How is it still there when I ended it?

BT just told me that the problem might be with the drivers on my pc and that I should call an engineer out. :hmm:

P.S. After all that the problem is still there. The videos are still the same and the pics on this page don't even open at first, then start coming in bits and pieces... oops brb.

This one here.. http://www.islamicboard.com/health-science/134266268-scientists-comments-scientific-miracles.html

An excellent online tool to use is PC pit stop. Link: PCpitstop

Run the full tests and you will get suggestions. The suggestions are in simple terms and easy to follow.

asalam alaikum wr wb,

May Allah reward you muslim sis and br. Woodrow. I've run the pitstop scan and got this summary.

There are 5 unwanted programs that are currently starting whenever your system boots. By removing these programs, you will get better performance, lower memory usage, and less clutter in your system tray. We did not find any unwanted programs that start when your system boots. PC Pitstop regularly updates its list of unwanted programs; by using Optimize regularly you can avoid these programs.

We identified 10 settings for Windows, Internet Explorer, and/or Firefox that can be tweaked to improve Internet performance. Your settings for Windows, Internet Explorer, and/or Firefox that appear to be tuned for best Internet performance. Using Optimize regularly will help to keep them that way. You skipped Internet optimization; to optimize your Internet connection go back to the first page and select your connection type. We tentatively identified 1 settings that can be tweaked to improve Internet performance.

Your drive has 2950 junk files totalling 107.62 megabytes. Optimize can clean the Reycle Bin, temporary files, and Internet caches that can clog the drive and cause excessive fragmentation. There were no junk files found on your system. By using Optimize on a regular basis, you can clean the Reycle Bin, temporary files, and Internet caches that can clog the drive and cause excessive fragmentation.

There are 590 incorrect or unneeded registry entries from failed program installations, obsolete Windows cached data, or missing files. These may cause incorrect operation of some applications. No problems were found during the registry scan. Use Optimize regularly to prevent problems and keep unwanted junk from accumulating in the registry.

Do I have to buy the software to fix the problem? At the end of the summary there's a box asking for name, email and license key - which I don't have. (I used the software anonymously).

imsad Sorry for being a pain. I appreciate everyone's help immensely and pray that Allah's help be with you too always. Ameen.

There is no need to buy any software. These can all be done manually. What Operating System do you use, (Vista, XP, W98 etc)? Post that and I will walk you through the steps.

asalam alaikum wr wb,

OK, that's cool mashaAllah. I have windows xp bro. I'm so grateful for everyone's help. May Allah give you all the ultimate prize - Jannah al-Firdaus. :statisfie

:w:

this should work for you. go to start, go to run, type in msconfig click ok. When the window opens click startup. Click on disable all. follow the prompts to apply and restart the PC. You will probably have to redo every time the PC gets running slow. It seems you have a number of unneeded programs that run in the back ground. Untill you know which they are, it is best to not try to uninstall them and just disable the start up menu, when the pc is sluggish.

What you need to do is close down programs that are not necessary in use.
Download Spyware Doctor, Sign out of Internet. Scan your computer.
Then download a Anti-Virus, Sign out of Internet again. Scan your computer.
Restart your computer.

Assalam Alaikum,

Sorry was not online, hence lost the track, Sis do not buy any unnecessary software .Has the condition improved.
