Mosques in north-east Poland (Kruszyniany and Bohoniki - XVIII century), belonging to Tatar minority

It looks like if the gold was painted on, and the rest of the mosque is just white. I still say Imam Reza is the coolest.
Solid Gold, walls all decorated with valubale stones, saffires, small golden chips..

excuse me but is falling in love with mosques some sort of idol worshipping?

It seems like the Persian mosques are the most elaborately decorated with gold..... is gold cheap over there?:D

First of all none of these are persian. They are shia, most of them built during the arab chaliphate, some afterwards by safvavid turks et c.

Iran does not equal persians, persians are a minority group in Iran. Western maps say its 51% persian, but thats the same people saying syrians are arabs.:D

Here is one interesting story about a mosque in Turkey. I couldnt any website that has the story. But I heard it once and got it confirmed from a turkish brother. Perhaps anyone from Turkey could help get the pictures of this mosque

“As if I've eaten” is a name of a mosque in a small town in Turkey. The name of the mosque in Turkish is "sanki yedim Camii". A devout man named Khaireddine Afandi used to go shopping, looking for food and every time he craved for something like, sweets fruits or meat, he said to himself "sanki yedim" which means “as if I've eaten it”. Then he would buy only the minimum amount of food to keep alive. He then put the cost of food he craved for in a box and saved the money for a long time; until one day, he had saved enough money that he was able to build a mosque. The mosque is therefore named " sanki yedime Camii.

how is admiring the beautiful architecture that islam is famous for, come anywhere close to "worshipping"? that seems pretty far fetched.
