how can i become a better muslim as a convert

assalam alakum i am Ahmed from america i converted to islam about a year ago. i am sixteen and it has been vary difficult for me to be righteous in my actions. a lot of people from muslim families in america complain about it being hard to do good things but i am the only muslim in my family, mashallah the let me practice islam with the exception of going to masjid but it is still it is very hard to do good things consistently when having few muslim friends that i don't see often. i fast, i eat halal, but i have difficulty praying even one time a day, and a lot of bad things that i wish i could easily stop doing. i need some advice about what to do.
