I have never been able to belch since I was little, and this causes a lot of gas and discomfort. The doctor says it's all psychological because I used to be emetophobic and there's nothing physically preventing me from belching. I tried explaining that I was only afraid of other people being sick, I was never afraid of being sick myself, and she said it's still the most likely cause and that if it's not impeding on my daily life (which it isn't) then it's a non-issue.
However I would still like to belch because I get these embarrassing gargling noises in my throat almost every day (I'm guessing air trying to escape) and a lot of wind from the other end which can either be loud or very occasionally cause bloating discomfort. I also break wudu a lot as a result.
So does anybody have any tips or recommendations to learn how to belch so that I may have some relief? Thanks.
