How did Mohammed (PBUH) die?

:sl:

The Prophet (peace be upon him) WAS NOT POISONED. Please, do not make such ignorant and false statements here on this forum, lest you make others believe that it is true.

Once again, the prophet of islam (peace be upon him) died a natural death. He was not killed by anyone. He simply died of old age.

I don't know where you got this notion from. If you truly believe this false claim, then provide your reasoning and your proof- please do not make such rash statements against the holy prophet (upon him be peace).

:sl:

Actually, the Prophet died a natural death but not through old age. Haafidh Ibn Hajar mentions in Al-Fath that Abu Ya'la reports through Ibn Lahiy'ah and he through 'Aishah that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) died of pleurisiy and not of old age.

Jazkullah for the clarification. Hopefully we can all get these "he was poisioned" ideas out of our minds.

But Muslims here believe Jesus Christ never died!

Prophet Isa (peace be upon him) did die and theres evidence of that in the Qur'an and even hadeeth...ofcourse there are other hadeeths that say he will return.

I used to believe he would return but then found out thats a belief borrowed from Christianity.

Heres a verse from the Qur'an

Translation --( And remember ) when Allah said : O Jesus! I am causing you to die and raising you unto Me , and I am cleansing you of those who disbelieve and am setting those who follow you above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection . Then unto Me you will ( all ) return , and I shall judge between you as to that wherein you used to differ ( Chapter-The Family of Imran 3:55)

I don't understand where some of the members of these forums are getting these radical ideas from. Listen, it is not right for you to interpret the Qu'ran. Leave that to the scholars, who confirm that Esa (alayhis salam) will in fact return. He is not dead. No, he is up in paradise very much alive. He will return to slay the anti-christ (Dajaal) and will be apart of the long period of peace.

As for your translation, it is a wrong translation. This explains why you think he has died, when in fact he has not. This is the proper translation of 3:55:

"And remember when Allah said: O JESUS! i will take you and raise you to myself and clear you of those who disbelieve and I will make those who follow you superior of those who disbelieve. Then unto Me you will ( all ) return , and I shall judge between you as to that wherein you used to differ.

There you go. That's the real translation, not one made up by people to try to prove a point. Here is another proof from the Qur'an that Jesus never died. Do you think the Qu'ran contradicts itself? Of course not. So heed the following verse:

And [on account of] their saying: "We killed the Messiah, Jesus son of Mary, Messenger of God." They did not kill him and they did not crucify him, but it was made to seem so to them. Those who argue about him are in doubt about it. They have no real knowledge of it, just conjecture. But they certainly did not kill him. (Surat An-Nisa', 4:157)

God raised him [Jesus] up to Himself. God is Almighty, All-Wise.
(Surat An-Nisa', 4:158)

Seriously, don't make such statements without bringing forth proof from the scholars. Just because you think a verse means something doesn't mean that is what it means.

Okay its late here..InshaAllah we'll open a thread about it and I'll explain how i arrived at this conclusion..and I've noticed many other muslims are also questioning this age old belief in Prophet Isa's return one of whom is
Dr. Ahmed Shafaat.
