aap kaise hain? which has been mentioned before, how are you in urdu.

What I found very amusing is that Teri ma kasih? in malaysian means how are you yet in hindi/urdu.....let's just say it's a bit unrespectful for a formal conversation =)

salaam

id say the following
friends >>>> kidaaan? ki haal ai? (punjabi) --- 'watsss happening bruv'?
Elders >>>>how are you doing? --- kya haal hai? (urdu)
Mum >>>> amee!?! where you been!? followed by a big hug!
nephew/neice >>> come here you little monkey!
ws:happy:

Ammi: Sub teeg hai (after I come from uni or meet her downstairs)
no direct nephews/nieces just yet.....

u nuw wara no chem

We should always use Walikum Salam as a reply or better

Using our own native translations cannot substitute it.

after all its a simple 2 words - just say the right thing

Like in Pakistan people say "Allah Hafiz" or "Fi Aman Allah" instead of Walikum Salam.

And its really annoying because it is not the same as Walikum Salam or Salam Alaikum!

I think its more better you say peace be upon u as many people wont know what is salaam or you can teach dem this is how muslims greet one another. Sometimes people preserve the araabic language so much, they dont know what they are saying, so its better they say the arabic and tag the meaning along! :)
salam peace be upon u!

in turkish...

selamun aleykum....
merhaba=hi!
allaha emanet ol=may allah protect you
güle güle=bye
selametle=have no difficulty inshallah..

after saying aslamualakum
i say
aap ka kya haal hai? - (urdu)

or something i just say, whatz up?

In German:

Hallo - hello
Guten Tag - good day
Grüss Gott - God's blessings/greetings
Auf Wiedersehen - good bye (more directly 'to meet/see you again')
Tschüss - bye (informal)

In Poland-

Hi- Cześć
Good evening- Dobry wieczór
How are you- Jak się masz

:sl:

If a muslim greets me with this >>> :sl:, i would reply back with this >> :w:

If a non-muslim (my family/relatives) greet me with >> How are ya snowy, I would reply back with this >>> Areet

If my blud greets me with this >>> Wazapnin snowy, i would reply back with this >>> Not bad mate what about you? how'z it going.

If neice's/nephew's greet me with this >>> Aunt snowy u akay, i would reply back with this >>> yes hun im fine and then ***mwah***

You don't need to know anymo so bye!
