Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah,
I wanted to ask something that's been on my mind personally and I’ve also heard it from many travellers I’ve guided for Hajj and Umrah.
After returning from the Haramain — especially after standing before the Kaaba or praying in the Rawdah — there's often this spiritual high… but then real life hits. The daily routine, distractions, even sins we thought we left behind come creeping back.
Some describe it as a kind of spiritual homesickness.
How do you personally deal with that?
Do you have certain routines, dhikr, books, or reminders that help you keep the connection strong with Allah (SWT) even months after returning?
Would love to hear from others who’ve experienced this and how you’ve tried to stay grounded in that feeling.
Jazakum Allahu khayran in advance.
