Oh the Somali Language...:)

Djiboutian version of somali is far better;D . Favourite word is cat! Yanyoor!!!! We say Biiset, which sounds better but yanyoor always puts a smile on my face:)

I do have to say, 'I love you' in somali sounds like a death threat. Wan Koo ( don't know how to spell the rest) One time, during ramadan I was at the masjid staying overnight. This little kid was bothering me the whole night for me to tell him a swear word in somali. So I told him, I love you in somali and he believed me. He was screaming I love you the whole night to everyone he saw. The next night, right as I stepped in, he said in a really mad face, I hate you in somali. I guess some kid told him he was saying I love you instead of a cuss word. really funny. Imagine little kid screaming Naya Wan Koo....:)
