How do you spell 'My name is Amira'? I've only heard it, never read it.. So.. I'm guessing it's something like this: Wa xaala'idhahaa Amira.. But yeah, thats just what I think.. Whats the correct spelling?

By da way I thought Somalis' ancestors were Yemeni....Some1 fill me in, plz...

How's it going? = Maxaa socda [Ma-haa so'da]
My name is... = Magaceyga waxaa waaye... [Maga-eyga wahaa waa-yeh]
Call me = Isoo wac [Esoo wa']
Dog = Eey [Eay]
Boy = Wiil [Weel]
Girl = Gabar [Ga-barr]
No = Maya [Ma-ya]
Son = Wiil [shares same meaning with boy]
Daughter = Gabar [shares same meaning with girl]

1 = Hal
2 = Laba [La-bah]
3 = Sadex [Sa-dah]

soem pppl say it is rude to call sme1 waryaa...it it bascially means oi but not in the nicest way that it could be said
 
at mosque my teacher wasnt somali but he used to call us girls waryaa and we couldnt help but giggle as kids and maaan that stick...ouch!!

nayaa is rude...

waryaa...is erm i dont know...its for guys tho
 
^^^ THeir used to be some guy at my primary school called nayaa.. the name gave me so much jokes!
