Re: How many of you have memorised the Qur'an by heart?

Mashallah to all those who are Hafiz or becoming so.
Memorising the Quran is the easy part. The hard bit is keeping it memorized.

And the key to that is constant recitation.

My dad is also a Hafiz of the Quran. Alhamdolillah it takes him 20 minutes to read one juz. He finishes reciting the entire Quran once every week. And in Ramadhan once every 2days. He also leads the tarabi prayers so he does an extra completion of the Quran at the end of the month there too. Besides all this he's also reciting individual surahs at different times of the day, like surah Mulk before bed etc...

With Allah's mercy, now at the age of 70 his memory is just as strong as it were at the age of 11 when he first became hafiz.

May Allah accept his humble efforts and grant us all good in this world and the hereafter. (Ameen)

Yh thats true......it is fairly easy to memorize but the real test begins when the responsibility of keeping the Qur'an memorized commences. :) Main thing is to adopt continous revision :) At least 1/2 to 1 Juz per day insha'Allah :)

The joys of acquiring new places in the Quran...The feeling is priceless. In a way, completion is only half the task. As the Sheikh above said, revision is the most important thing....

JazakAllah bro :)

Which surah's have you memorised?

Salaams.
Mashallah, LI have many intelligent and brothers and sisters on the forum. I
was just curious about which surahs we know by heart.

I start with myself
I know the last 15 surahs in the Quran that I pray in my salah's. I know Surah Ya'seen and that's about it.

I'm trying my best to memorise some more Inshallah. Pray Allah makes it easy for me.

So, which surah's do you know by heart?:sunny:

Re: Which surah's have you memorised?

salams sister

first of all Mahallah to you,
anyway i am Hifz so i know the whole quran (well i'm supposed to anyway but some parts aren't perfect, inshallah they will be though, do dua for me please)
Anyways try learning small surats such as Juzz 30 and then go on to the important ones such as Surae Waqiah, Arahman and Kahf.

May Allah swt give us all the taufeeq to learn as much as we can and to keep it in our hearts.....ameen.
