Yes, I reverted in 1982, but I have practiced Islam consistently only since June 2001. Allah (swt) has also blessed me with the ability to learn a little Arabic through the use of Arabic Playhouse and Al-Qari software. Masha'Allah.
Mashallah thats cool :shade:
Are you a revert bro?

First finished the Quraan when I was eight.
I now try to complete it at least once during Ramadan.
I think the best is still doing the 30th juz first and then start from the 1st juz until the end, it's the best way actually, because people who do from the back upwards seem to have a harder time doing surah baqarah etc compared to those who started from the front and went forward.well you don't have to complete, you could try and get vital surahs memorised like Yasin, Mulk etc. Then from that you can grow on it...
And some people do start from the back as it might be easier...But I think that if it's easier to go from the 30th, then move from both the 30th and the 1st. That way you can move through the easier areas quickly and move at a steady pace from the front.
When you come across the mutashaabihaat, it's vital to know what ayah comes before and after and to note the differences in the ayahs. Sometimes, it's easy to get mixed up but that's when Recitiational Reinforcements play a major role ... lol
