Somalis have a mixture of races goin way back anywayz.... so why shud any somali be racist?:rollseyes.

I'm propa Somalian but was born in Tanzania n ma family is mixed with Italian, Arab and Tanzanian...

That is really nice, Sister Shukria! I really like it when families have mixed cultures and backgrounds it just shows that rascism doesn't always affect everyone negatively and if it does then they don't care!

While all this talk of tribes is interesting, it's straying from the topic which is 'How racist are you', rather than, 'which tribe are you from'

i dont think i'm racist.. i do get annoyed at some aspects in some groups which tend to be generalsied onto some cultures... arabs and their non-sticking to appointments.. and some chinese and the way they operate businesses.. but its more the behaviour in them rather than me hating them as a race.

Allah created us in different races and colors and languages so that we may understand the meaning of unity. That is the only reason why we have different races. SubhanAllah it's some deep stuff if you think about it. Imagine if we all were same color, same language and same race...we won't have any concept of unity at all.

Look dont get me wrong I dont treat people darker than me inferior ever ever..but when it comes to something like marriage its a whole different ball game I would want someone close enough to my skin color..(which yes you assumed right is pretty light) this thread isnt to offend anyone but just to see where do you draw the line in race that is if you draw the line if you dont then mashaAllah good for you!!

lol it's a disease.. alhamdulilah the prophet was an Arab yet he set us a good example.. he made an appointment with another person once and the prophet waited and waited adn waited and the toher fella came like reeeally late and the prophet made a point out of it and said 'o arab brother, u made it hard on me, i would hav waited for you till judgement day if i had to'

newayz... other than that.. yeh race dont matter to me, even as far as marriage is concerned 2 i guess.

im sure its more coz she is suited to him and for Allah then to set the standard :p lol, neways i dont hav a problem will skin color, i jus hav a problem wiv what a persons like, they gtta match me :)
