Each does require different tactics. I notice in the pictures they all appear to be Asian elephants. They are much more common to hide than African elephants as they speak Urdu and since it is primarily Pakistanis that have any need to hide Elephants (The Indians keep trying to steal them to use as Taxicabs) I suspect that is the Reason Asian Elephants are hidden. However if the need ever arises to hide an African Elephant the best way is to paint it white and turn it loose in Antarctica. See if you can find the African Elephant hidden in this picture.
