not just sarhad, but punjab as well. my own family members dont let women of our house go out (except for uni education or necessities).

But in modern cities like karachi, lahore, isloo, women do go out. I think it depends on the family lineage, family status, aur islam ka ilm. Traditional mazboot khaandan walay apni aurton ko baahar nahein jaanay dete.

many families dont allow their women to go to uni also... pathans are more strict in these matters but it happens every where in families who blindly follow its so called " riwayaat". aurat ko ghr baith kr faqo say marnay ki ijazat to hay laikin wo apnay bacho ya ghr walo ka pait palnay k lie ghr say nikal kr qadeem khandani riwayaat nhi tor sakti..



we live in modern world. we need well educated muslim women (in both deen nd worldy education ) who can raise our new generation in the best productive manner, who can fight the challenges of the time. jinhain apni hudood may reh kr zamanay k sath chalnay ka sha'ur ho. jo buray waqt may apnay mardon ka sahara bn sakain.and who can compete the "modern" women of today..

islam nay baishak aurat ka maqam ghr rakha hy laikin na us pr taleem k darwazay bnd kie hain or na hudood may reh kr apni zaruryaat puri krnay k lie mehnat mushaqqat say roka hy... pta nhi in riwayaat k pujari logo ko ye baat kb samjh aegi..

ppl in Stone age also thought they live in modern world compared to people before.

You dont need "secular education" to educate your kids. Kids' education means imparting them values such as honesty, integrity, truthfulness, responsibility, loyalty, respect, morality, justice etc. A shoemaker can impart these values as good as a M.D. Cardiac surgeon. Rest, kids learn on their own to face the world via schooling and peers.

taleem tub farz hai jb taleem us kay emaan ko destroy karnay ka khatra na ho aur jab taleem halal tareekon say haasil ki jaa rahee ho. Most unis in Pak are co-educational by the way.

nhe australian chanel ha with a lot of documentries about india. even today i see a documnetry about ganga river pollution and hindus religious believes of bathing and drinking from it.

This is a good point sis, India is atleast tolerant of women driving cars... most of them ride motorbikes it's a different culture shock in India.

i was not talking of women to allowed for work or not, i was talking in sence of voilation of women rights and their respect in society.
