The kafir are using it to paint religion islam as bad as of course they failed to separate religion from it bad people so I need to find good sides like good so I have more resources to defend against kafirs.

It is important not to conflate slavery in Islam with the transatlantic ‘slave trade’ that occurred in the 15-19th centuries. In Islam, there is an emphasis on emancipating slaves and slaves are to be treated with justice and kindness. As for what happened in the transatlantic slave trade where slaves were not even treated as human, there is a world of difference there.

I wouldn't waste time with those types of people. There are bad Muslims as well as bad Christians. We should however focus on modern slavery that is still done in some Islamic countries by bad people. That way, we can make our time worth while and save many of our brothers and sisters

I would add some comments.

One hadith says "The Prophet ordered us to free slaves at the time of solar eclipses".
Sahih al-Bukhari 2519, Book 49, Hadith 3

Quran 4:24-25 allows marriage to female captives, but one cannot marry already married women.

If slavery was morally wrong, why did Allah not simply prohibit Muslims from owning other human beings,
rather than encouraging owners to free them while continuing to permit the institution?

Encouraging the emancipation of slaves is not the same as abolishing slavery.
