How can one earn the guidance and love of Allah (SWT)? What are some supplications? It's never to late to be guided, right?

Also I want to ask, does anyone know of a website where one can speak with a scholar? I am not talking about websites where they publish answers, because they take too long to post a response. What I want is to speak with a scholar either through live chat or through email, I am a little surprised that they don't have much of those around. I have no way of going to a masjid because they are far away and I can't drive, so it's not often I get the chance to go to masjids.
 
Yes it is never too late to be guide but at the same time you have to do action. FIrstly,seek knowledge which the knowledge of Allah called TAWHIID. Secondly make dua and keep away from the sin. There is this good book called "the disease of the heart and it's cure Shaikh al-Islam Ibn-Taymiyah" it's really gd book and i recommend that you get it cuz if you make your hear clean then anything is possible. But if you want success you have to start with learning about Allah his and attributes.

Well their not personal so I guess I can ask here. Is it possible for one with a sealed heart to have it unsealed, like for example, someone sinned so much that their hearts sealed, but then they want to change, can Allah remove the seal if that person wants to change them selves for the better? I know it's not too late to repent until that person dies or the sun rises from the west. That's my first question out of many.
 
One thing i find helpful is to make alot of dua and veger give up.Althought remember to take slowly cuz you don't want to rusha and come back. Each day try to change alittle bit about your self and keep going. I remember once i book i was reading there was a man he said "it took me 20 years to purify my self" so take your steps and ask Allah for help.

when someone wants to change , it means s/he wants to repent , wants to come back from wrong to right . God Willing , s/he will be guided then .

I read a story like this : a person killed 99 men and then he asked a scholar , Will Allah forgives me . Scholar said , no . Then the man said , if surely I am going to hell , then let me kill one more person . He killed that scholar and went to other scholar and said , I killed 100 ; Will Allah forgives me .

Scholar said , yes , if u repent and start worshipping Allah properly. Leave the place where are u now as u are sorrounded by bad people. Go to other city where u will find good people. The man started his journey , died on the way and it was said that Allah forgave him as he wanted to be good.

So , never become frustrated about Allah's mercy.



Know they not that Allah accepts repentance from His slaves and takes the Sadaqat (alms, charity), and that Allah Alone is the One Who forgives and accepts repentance, Most Merciful?

I also have another question.

There is a hadith that says:

"Allah comes in between a Person and His Heart

Allah said,

[وَاعْلَمُواْ أَنَّ اللَّهَ يَحُولُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَقَلْبِهِ]

(and know that Allah comes in between a person and his heart.)

Ibn `Abbas commented, "Allah prevents the believer from disbelief and the disbeliever from faith.'' Al-Hakim recorded this in his Mustadrak and said, "It is Sahih and they did not record it.'' . Similar was said by Mujahid, Sa`id, `Ikrimah, Ad-Dahhak, Abu Salih `Atiyyah, Muqatil bin Hayyan and As-Suddi. In another report from Mujahid, he commented;

[يَحُولُ بَيْنَ الْمَرْءِ وَقَلْبِهِ]

(...comes in between a person and his heart.) "Leaves him without comprehension,'' As-Suddi said, "Prevents one self from his own heart, so he will neither believe nor disbelieve except by His leave.'' There are several Hadiths that conform with the meaning of this Ayah. For instance, Imam Ahmad recorded that Anas bin Malik said, "The Prophet used to often say these words,

«يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِك»

(O You Who changes the hearts, make my heart firm on Your religion.) We said, `O Allah's Messenger! We believed in you and in what you brought us. Are you afraid for us' He said,

«نَعَمْ، إِنَّ الْقُلُوبَ بَيْنَ إِصْبَعَيْنِ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ اللهِ تَعَالَى يُقَلِّبُهَا»

(Yes, for the hearts are between two of Allah's Fingers, He changes them (as He wills).)''

This is the same narration recorded by At-Tirmidhi in the Book of Qadar in his Jami' [Sunan], and he said, "Hasan.'' Imam Ahmad recorded that An-Nawwas bin Sam`an Al-Kilabi said that he heard the Prophet saying,

«مَا مِنْ قَلْبٍ إِلَّا وَهُوَ بَيْنَ أُصْبُعَيْنِ مِنْ أَصَابِعِ الرَّحْمَنِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ إِذَا شَاءَ أَنْ يُقِيمَهُ أَقَامَهُ وَإِذَا شَاءَ أَنْ يُزِيغَهُ أَزَاغَه»

(Every heart is between two of the Fingers of the Most Beneficent (Allah), Lord of all that exists, if He wills, He makes it straight, and if He wills, He makes it stray.)

And he said:

«يَا مُقَلِّبَ الْقُلُوبِ ثَبِّتْ قَلْبِي عَلَى دِينِك»

(O You Who changes the hearts! keep my heart firm on Your religion) And he would say;

«وَالْمِيزَانُ بِيَدِ الرَّحْمنِ يَخْفِضُهُ وَيَرْفَعُه»

(The Balance is in the Hand of Ar-Rahman, He raises and lowers it.)

This was also recorded by An-Nasai and Ibn Majah."

It says here that Allah (SWT) is the one causes one to believe and one to disbelieve. If this is true does one really have free choice to follow Islam or not? it seems that Allah (SWT) is the one making the choice for people. What would then be the point to reward one or punish one if they are not the ones who made the choice? I have asked some similar questions before but more questions come up in my mind, so I hope it's OK to ask inshallah.

"Dua is the essence of worship."

Dua expresses the fact that we, as the humankind, are incapable of doing things on our own accord. We require Allah's support constantly. Simply by praying and doing Dua, you will, Insha'Allah, be attaining the love and guidance of Allah Ta'ala. Seek from Allah alone.

And Allah guides not the people, who are Zalimoon (wrong-doers, etc.).

( سورة البقرة , Al-Baqara, Chapter #2, Verse #258)

...wrong way of thinking led the mushrikin (polytheists) to say, as mentioned in surat al-An`am: “Those who give partners (to Allah) will say: ‘If Allah had wished, we should not have given partners to Him nor would our fathers; nor should we have had any taboos.’ So did their ancestors argue falsely, until they tasted of Our wrath. Say: ‘Have ye any (certain) knowledge? .... (Al-An`am: 148-150)

From this, the mushrikin tried to make an excuse that Allah prepared for them to do their disobedience and shirk (associating partners with Him), and if He liked for them to avoid this, He would have prevented them by force not to do it.

However, Allah didn’t accept this excuse from them and told them that if Allah likes to force you to do something, He would force you to practice iman (belief) and taqwa (piety and righteousness).”
