Anyone heard about the Hadith of Ibn Abbas when he was asked to interpret the verse 12 Surat At-Talaaq (chapter 65)?!
<<Allah is He Who created seven Firmaments and of the earth a similar number. >>

He said if I tell you about the interpretation of this verse you will disbelieve, then Ibn Abbas said the meaning of this verse is in every earth, there’s Adam like our Adam and Ibrahim like ours Ibrahim… and a prophet like our prophet.

This Hadith is quite interesting, but I couldn't find more info about it, and it goes along with one of the breathtaking science theories the "parallel universes".

Yes, I heard of this Hadith once. It is hard to tell the exact meaning of it. But if you wanted to know more you could try to find out the meaning from the classical Tafsirs. I looked through some websites for you and found some links which you might want to read from:

Hi Nana
what are the parallel universes ?

Hi Nana
what are the parallel universes ?

The parallel universe or multiverse is a theory in which our universe is not the only one, but all the universe exists parallel to each other, the theory is really complicated (to me) and has many interpretations. I got lost sometimes just reading about it.

I consider parallel universes/multiverses to be related very closely with predestination - and choice.

Look at it like this:

For every situation you encounter in life, there can be up to seven options for you to take - the results of which are already known to Allah, because Allah is in a place where time doesn't exist, and can see time in all its manifestations which HE has set.

To put it simply, each non action of yours, has a resulted "action" in parallel universes - which ghost this one. So though we have choice - predestination is also in play.

This for me, has solved the conundrum of predestination vs choice.

And Allah knows best.

riwayat of Hz ibn abbas :RA:ahmad al yaqub as saqafi> ubaid b ghannam> Ali b hakim >sharik> ata> abudhuha> Hz ibn Abbas :RA: (Mustadrak Hakim)abdullah > ibrahim b al husain> Adam> shu'ba >amr b murrah > abudhuha > Hz ibn Abbas ;RA: (durre mansur)

7 earths could very well be referring to the 7 continents on this planet which were not known in the time of the revelations.

Another miraculous revelation way ahead of its time.

Are people seriously looking for 6 planets like earth? :D look under your noses, you're losing site of reality.

Great so now your all jet li fans..

Please refer to The One (2001)

Or more recently The flash.. For those that have Sky.

Analogy done, job done...

But take it with a pinch of salt.
