Yes, he is getting old now, so no more screaming! pity that, i always loved standing on the roof of the haram and listening to the adhan echo on the sky and mountains. It sounded awesome.

SS was banned, but that was a long time ago. I just heard the voice-over man say it was Sheikh Dr Usamah bin Abdullah al-Khayyat

Is it just me, or SUK sounds a bit wrong when addressing the imaam of the Masjid al Haram? :)

And yes, Sheikh Shuraim was suspended in like March 2003. I can't remember why.. Arwa or amani know precisely. :p If he was suspended currently, he wouldn't be leading other prayers. :) He isn't suspended. He has his reasons I'm sure. Khair inshaAllah.

I think the sister means SUK isnt good as it could be understood as the slang way of using it (meaning something bad etc) and it could be viewed as disrespect to the Shaykh who has such a beautyful name :thankyou:

He spoke about the yahood of israel, and he made some deadly du'as against them. he was suspended from giving khutbah for 3 months. He must be quite busy now as he hasnt been giving khutbah for a long time now.

can you give an example or tell me how SUK addresses the imams of makkah?
and if SS got banned, it doesnt look like it was for long, coz he was back mleading taraweeh beautifully that year
unless, he was banned from giving khutbah's? what did SS exactly say? i doubt the king will ban any imams completely for a period of time?

He was just banned from the khutbahs, he was still allowed to carry on leading salah. I remember i was in madinah in my final few months when it all happened.
PS first khutbah in makkah over - du'as and second khutbah about to start

Maybe, it was my mistake. Du'as in makkah. Sheikh Usama is really going for it. Ameen, Ameen, Ameen, Ameen Thumma Ameen

I always thought the Imaams are allowed to say anything against Israel (as they do all the time), so long as they never mention anything about America(ns).
