Nah, if Sheikh Shuraim comes back it'll be tomorrow inshaAllah. Tis the weekend there. ;) When he goes, he comes back after the weekend, usually. His throat needs a break!

I wonder who will do the khutbah. Most probably Sheikh Sudais... *thinking*

Sis unown...did you record Madeenah? :)

yes you are right sis Labibah Sheikh Shuraim never comes back before weekends ............... but i am just hoping .........MAybe..............he will come back

Sorry plz forgive me when i was recording i forgot to record the begining and the frist 2 ayahs of fatiha i think but the rest i did... and i record a recitation of sudais which was the salah.. i will post them after im done uploading them

I think Sheikh Salih al-Talib will give the khutbah today and lead the jumu'ah salah. I hope he does, but something tells me it may be Sheikh Usamah Khayyat

it just showed the muadhin of todays jummah real up close, that is the first time, i think the camera was so closely zoomed up on thier face
its showing jummah adhan now on islam channel

What are you watching? The Madinah one is Sheikh Abdul-Baary bin 'Awad al-Thubaity while the Makkah one is Sheikh Usamah bin Abdullah al-Khayyat
He does sound a bit different though (SK). Its the weather change over there. Some of the imams are coming down with something. Probably minor, though.
May Allah grant them shifaa

My connection is really bad. But Thubaity is back from suspension. Nice, nice mashallah. Good to see the king finally saw sense. If only he could let the imams say what they saw fit, after all they are more knowledgeable than the king

Not what i meant. The imams of the haramain have more knowledge of islam than the royal family. that said, the king is quite knowledgable. But he is not quite there, so he has a Shura council, of which the imams are all senior members. He and the rest of the royal family take advice from the imams, but they limit and censor what can and can't be said in the khutbahs. That is what i meant by letting them say what they see fit.

yes i agree, i think the imams should have the freedom to say what they want and what is right, they should have more influence and this could be achieved if they had that freedom
