I enjoy SAS better than Shk. Subayyil...No offence, just like him a bit better.

Shk. Subayyil is good i enjoy when he leads salah;D, its always makes me relax no jaldi for recoding at that time :)

Personal opinions like these, ^ keep them to yourself. Stating your favourite recitor is another thing but saying that you like no, 'enjoy' one sheikh over another is wrong. To begin with, we don't even listen to the sheikhs for an enjoyment! It does not matter which sheikh leads which salah, so long as he leads and Allah accepts the salah off him and all those in the congregation.
We don't even gain any benefits if one sheikh leads or not.I'm not saying anyone has said this but sometimes by reading some of the posts it seems like it, but these sheikhs do not lead salah to match other peoples preferances so when a sheikh does lead, just say, Alhamdulillah ala kulli haal!

exactly sis , to be honest i am really scared of one thing . insha'Allah soon ill be going for umrah , and all the fajrs i have prayed in Haram Makkah were lead by SS, maybe it sound funny but i fear when ill go there and incase SS didnt lead i will be like oh :( no SS........ and that is not good as i am not going there to only pray behind any specific imaam.
All imams are good.
i am trying to change the way i think ;D insha'Allah allah will help me

When I was in KSA, in Makkah, Sheikh Salih al Talib was leading all 5 prayers so when Friday came, I thought yay most likely Sheikh Salih al Talib will give the khutbah. (I actually did think that I will pray behind all imams but Sheikh Salih al Talib haha don't ask!) Anyway, after the first adhan, when the Sheikh Khayyat said the salam, for a second I was like :ooh: Sheikh Khayyat? Then I smiled and thought ya know, so what? Alhamdulillah Sheikh Salih al Talib led all the five prayers and one khutbah isn't going make a difference or affect my umrah insha'Allah and I didn't want to be ungrateful.

That's why we say, too much of everything is not good whether the thing is good or not. In this case, the obsession with the sheikhs. lol.
That's why I continuosly tell you lot to stop saying who's recitation you 'enjoy' or wished another imam could lead instead of another etc. :heated:

You will have to question yourself that when you go to KSA for umrah and you feel so happy, what is that feeling of happiness for? Umrah? or getting a chance to pray behind your favourite imam? There is nothing wrong in being happy with the latter so long as that happiness does not outweight the former happiness. Remember that you are there to worhsip Allah and it does not matter who leads but what does matter is that Allah accepts your ibaadah and your prayers performed.
