Lol.

It is possible to become an imam of the haramain ash-sharifayn however... it's more unlikely. A Saudi would be preferred over you (over any non Saudi) so it is very hard. Also, it is not that easy to get a citizenship in Saudi never mind a Saudi passport.. you'd have to be lets say a doctor (a medical one :giggling: ) and be living and working there for many years. However, you can get a visa to stay there but you would have to pay I think 1 million Riyals (500,000 pounds I think it was) in CASH. :D And with that, you do not get a passport or a Saudi citizen .. You get an Iqaamah.. (a stay) . It's difficult.

I could tell you a tiny bit more, but I'd be going off topic. lol

Haji_Usmaan - inshallah if allah wills you will become Imam of Haram he has power to do everything! Ask him and ask him alone if it is written for you to be Imam then no obstacle can come in your way!

However, what the brothers and sisters have said it is difficult for a non saudi. Also there is a lot of competition!

Inshallah I am going back to Saudi nxt week - have arranged to meet Shaykh Saleh Talib inshallah!

Brother haji usman there is no chance of anyone goin to makkah or madinah to be a imam.There r so many people that want to be my brother is going to saudi this year inshallah for madinah uni.

Brother Haji Usman, indeed no obstacle can come in the way if Allah has written for you to be an Imam of Masjidul Haraam.
Ask Him, and He might fulfil your wish...
