mashallah this year they are taking it easy, but people should remeber they have other jobs too and they lead some of the 5 daily prayers, so in the month of ramadhan, they have to lead taraweeh, do their other job and lead some of the daily prayers which is a lot so maybe they requested to take things a bit easy this year so the king brought in Sheikh Salaah al Budair and Sheikh Johany

all this talk about the famous duo, SS and SAS, retiring are really doubtful inshallah i hope because mashallah they are not even close to their old age and they still recite so awesome that it overwhelmes people in the Haram, and i really think no one can replace SS and SAS becasue they are unique
wasalam

:sl:
SAS is going to retire.
Oh well, thats it then isnt it....everything has gone down the drain :'( :'( :'(
How can he go.....he is loved by so many!!(still sobbing).

llah ma3akum :coolsis:

Like brother metsudaistwice said "retiring are really doubtful inshallah"...not to worry insha Allah.

salam
am sure SAS can lead at the Haram for another 8 years and SS can lead at least another 12 years inshallah

Why 8 years for SAS and 12 for SS? I understand brother, it was a mistake. U meant to write it the other way round... :p

Allah ma3ak :coolsis:

salam
no its becasue SAS is four years older than SS therefore SAS will get older quicker so SAS can lead for another 8 years and SS can lead for another 12 years, SS is 42 and SAS is 46

Well, I think...no actually, I know...that SAS will still be better than SS in another 12 years.Lets not discuss this any further (stick nose in air).

Now don't tell me it's against the laws to take the bisht off :?

mst - key 103.5 fm .. Radio Ramadhan :shade:

Only works in Manchester though ;D Though I'm lucky it works in my area .. :sister:

am not saying it is against the law, but it is unlikely they will take their bisht off, unless they feel really hot
can you listen to live taraweeh from makkah on that station?

hehe .. I know you weren't but I have always wondered whether it's their 'uniform' :p

Yep! From Makkah! :thumbs_up

but I'll confirm it tonight insha'Allah cos last year, and the year before that they did. ;D

sis i don't come online in the evenings way too busy with taraweeh and college works, are you sure i can listen to taraweeh from makkah today?
maybe sis it is their uniform, who knows? i think it is becasue it is very rare to see any of them without bisht and scarf, although SS prayed without bisht in 2003
