Assalamo-alaikum-wrahmatullahi-wabrakatu
Awwwwwwwwwwwww......I missed you too wAkky! (Honest):?
Allhumdolillah.......this year was amazing got to meet so many people - but the highlight was sitting with Shaykh Al Mohasainy after trawee - (we prayed at the mosque and I have never seen/heard an Imam cry so much - wallahi he was amazing the whole mosque was in tears!)
Mashallah, I asked him about the duaa (for which he was banned) and he said that I fear no one but Allah swt - subhanallah! Apparently he has been banned from giving public lectures etc!
Yes the Imams have offices now mashallah - its not difficult to get in you just need to know about them
kay: Once you know its easy (cuz not many people know).
Did ifatri with SST loads of times - we used to sit where the Muadhins do the adhan above the trawee spot! The first time was when I was going to Asr (as I use Babul Malik Abdul Aziz gate which the imams use) and I met SST on the way and he told me to come there after Magrib! This was the first time I ever did iftari with them and it was an experience - the imams were so humble that they used to ask for some cleaners (workers in the haram) to be sent up to sit and eat with us!
However, the best and most memorable moment was when I was again going for iftari and SAS was sat in the room in one corner reading the quran so I sat there watching him (it was like 15 minutes before iftari) and when he had finished I asked him what he was reading and he said smiling getting ready for tonights trawee!!!!!
When we used to go to SS office after trawee we all used to sit around and have qawah and chai and just chat - he used to get a lot of visitors but would always make time and give little talks on various aspects!
I was also lucky enough to listen to a talk given straight after Asr by Shaykh Hussain ale Shaykh - it was brilliant and was about why earthquakes happen and he qouted numerous ahadith and then made an appeal for people to give money to Pakistan - he was very emotional at one point he broke down and was in tears!
Just some experiences I thought would share with you guys - there are many more which I will share inshallah.
So...............has anyone heard Shaykh Nabeel Rafai - I would defintely recommend you listen to him!!!
Masalaam and EID MABROOK 2 everyone
