I've got a recording of SST of Sura Najm in Fajr, but I fell asleep while it was recording lol and the casette finished in the Sajdah Tilaawah, so I have no idea what he read when he stood up again, or whether he did read anything :hmm:. If I'm not mistaken, it must have been about March 2006 :hiding:. I havn't heard SS do Sura Najm in Fajr, not that I can remember anyway :hmm:

The recitation was AWESOME, WONDERFUL, BEAUTIFUL, BREATH-TAKING, CAPTIVATING, I dunno, you can use any good adjective to describe it. :hiding: I loved it! :wub:

Oh and zAk, I just realised that it was 5 March 2005, a day after SST delivered a khutbah on modesty and chastity, and he did complete Sura Najm there, so I suppose he then read Sura Qamar when he stood up :><:

As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh

Sheikh Sudais is very emotional in tahajjud right now..:cry:

Sheikh Shuraim recited at his best as usual.

EDIT:Sheikh Sudais making such a beautiful dua,so emotional:cry:..:cry: May Allah accept the duas,if its laylatul qadr,may Allah bless this night and descend Salam on this earth.

No brother,The Khatm Quran supplication hasnt been done yet. InshaAllah it will be done on Friday September 18,2009 inshaAllah.

Sheikh Sudais was quite emotional at the end of juz 7 :cry: and dua was baeutiful :cry:

Ameen to the duas

Taraweeh was awesome, Sheikh Mu'ayqali was a bit emotional in Sura Taghaabun: "Qul bala wa rabbiy latub3thunna thumma latunabba2unna bima 3amiltum.... " :cry:

Here are all the old recordings of Sheikh Saud As-Shuraim that I could find. Most of them are from Riyadh. MashaAllah all the recitations are so unique and awesome. He is emotional in Sura Al-Araf(Minute 14:00). One recording is in Jeddah(year unknown,if anyone knows,please share jazakAllah khair). The Jeddah recording is really awesome mashaAllah,it seems like its either he was imam of makkah at that time,but he was in Jeddah. Or its just before he became imam of haram al makki, since that tune is from makkah. Wallahu Alam.

1410 Salat Isha Riyadh(from sura hud and sura ibrahim)

1428 Sura Hud, Just amazing. :shade: The last time he read in that tune was in 1419(Sura At-Tawba)

yes that 1428 surah hud was awesome. i didnt know that last time he read in this tune was 1419, lol after 9 years he suddenly remembered his old tune...:D
i actually have surah nisaa and ra3d in his old tune with excellent sound quality but thats audio cassete, i wanted to have it on computer and mobile though. we bought that cassette set some 10 years back and it has a lot of surahs in that tune. eg surah nisaa, hud, yaseen, ra3d, hijr, nahl, israa, taha, muminoon, anbiya, the second half of juz 3amm, zariaat, luqman, zumar, dukhan. sometimes it sounds really great, more beautiful than the general tune.
for a long time i believed it was some other imam...lol
i can understand that people can change their styles, but how can they change their voices so much? :hmm:
i have searched every islamic site i know of but i couldnt found these recitations anywhere :(
and yeah i just listened to the surah nisaa bit that you posted, its the same that i have, except that he recites the whole surah nisaa in that.
God, may be this is the tenth time i am editing this post :exhausted
EDIT: and yes this surah a3raf is the same too, except that the one you have posted is loads better in sound quality :statisfie

You know, I was just thinking about that today. I don't think it's likely, but you never know and there's no harm in hoping! :D May Allah allow Sheikh Budair to do the khatam dua tomorrow. Say Ameen! :D

It will be great but unfortunately i think it will be Shaykh Qasim for first part and Shaykh Hudhayfi for second part and khatam dua. Wallahu a'lam.

This might sound strange, but I hope they give someone else the opportunity to do the khatm-alquraan in Makkah than Sheikh Sudais. Nothing personal against him :) But he's had a few years in a row now :) It would be awesome to see Shuraim or Almuaiqly or Aljuhany have a go. Though I do think I am being a bit too optimistic heh ;)

As-salamu alaykum,

As long as Sheikh Al Huthayfi is the Imam, he will continue to do dua. Unless there is a reason. Sheikh Husayn Ale Shaykh did it in 1426. It was so beautiful mashaAllah.
