what colour was it?

And also brother wats a shimgh?? is it a bisht.

:w:

No Shimagh or Ghutra is what they wear on the head , Shimagh is exactly what i have in my avatar. That thing was so new MashahAllah it would even sit on his head.

:sl:

Shimaagh is the red headscarf, Ghutrah is the white headscarf.

The Prophets Masjid is sooo packed it is not even funny! And after the salah people dont move lol they just sit in their places. May Allah reward the Hujjaaj.

I was reading a kitaab called An-Nukaat 'ala kitaab ibn Saalah its a book that talks about the sciences of hadith it was written by Shaykh al-haafidh ibn Hajar al-'asqalaani. I read about his biography and found something quite interesting to say the least:

He memorised the Qu'aan at the age of 9 and led the people in Taraweeh as an Imaam in Masjid al-Haraam at the age of 12 whilst being in the company of his guardian al-Khuroobiy in Makkah al-Mukkarramah in the year 785 AH
[An-Nukaat 'ala kitaab ibn Saalah volume 1 page 30]

:sl:

Interesting mashAllah. YH you can even watch it on tv how packed it is in masjid al nabawii and masjidul haraam.

Im guessing sheikh qasim for jummah in madinah and sheikh sheikh shuraim in makkah.

:w:

masha'Allah both of the haramain mosques are getting more packed, especially with the hajjis arriving these days

I was watching maghrib prayer today in masjid annabawi, did you guys notice in the first rak'aah how one guy pushed two guys out of eachother when he wanted to join the prayers? First time I've seen that in my life... the guys he was pushing wouldn't even budge lol.. you can probably see it when the video goes up online

MashahAllah nice Fajr By sheikh Juhany , MashahAllah brand new Shimagh he was wearing !! It was real crispy if u check the video when he is walking towards the kaaba to lead the prayer .. Im sure it was brand new man it was just way too crispy. lol Allah knows best

lol, I didn't notice that, but what I did notice was that he was leading from right in front of the Ka'bah and that the Ka'bah cloth has been folded over for a few days now.

I always wonder how the locals are able to put up with the crowds :exhausted

It's Sheikh Qaasim in Madeenah and Sheikh Aal Taalib in Makkah, Insha Allah! and Sheikh Khayyath for Eid Khutbah and Salaah and from the 8th to the 13 Thul-Hijjah: Sheikh Juhany for Fajr and Thuhr and Sheikh Mu'ayqali for Asr, Maghrib and Isha Insha Allah!

It was awesome that Sheikh Aal Taalib led Maghrib today, but too bad I didn't get to listen to it live imsad

:w:

:sl:

That is not young at all, 'Amr bin Salamah radiyAllahu 'anhu used to lead his tribe at the age of 7

:ooh: Subhanallah!

Sheikh Aal Taalib was awesome in todays khutbah. He did this same khutbah back in 2005/1425. I listened to it so much, I almost memorized it! Even today, I could tell you the next sentence he was going to say :X. And the dua was soooo beautiful... and the salaah!! you just have to download it if you haven't heard it, Sura Jumua and Munaafiqoon (That's a first in salaatul Jumua from Sheikh). You could actually hear the emotion in Sheikh's voice when he recited Sura Munaafiqoon.

Yes SubhanAllah

It was narrated that Abu Mas’ood al-Ansaari said: The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “The people should be led in prayer by the one who has most knowledge of the Book of Allaah; if they are equal in knowledge of the Qur’aan, then by the one who has most knowledge of the Sunnah

hadeeth of Amr ibn Salamah said: “I used to memorize those words – meaning the Qur’aan – and it was as if it took root in my heart. When Makkah was conquered, then every tribe hastened to embrace Islam, and my father urged our tribe to hasten to embrace Islam. When my father returned (from the Prophet) to his tribe, he said, ‘By Allah, I have come to you from the true Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him)!’ The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) afterwards said to them, ‘Offer such-and-such a prayer at such-and-such a time, and when the time for the prayer becomes due, then one of you should pronounce the Adhaan (for the prayer), and let the one amongst you who knows most Qur’aan lead the prayer.’ So they looked for such a person and found none who knew more Qur'an than I, because of what I used to learn from the people. So they made me their imam (to lead the prayer) and at that time I was a boy of six or seven years.”
Narrated by al-Bukhaari 4051

I absoutely love how sheikh Hussain Aal Al Sheikh recites , His maghrib yesterday n today were absolutely amazing I love it how he takes it an Ayah at a timem realt takes his time with each ayah. This is how the prophet used to recite , He sala lahu alihi wa sallam used to stop at every ayah. Sheikh Aal al sheikh had some beautiful Fajr this year as well when he recited Surah Ar Rahman n Al waqiah n others as wel.

May Allah reward him

A little while ago, I knew nothing about the Madinah imams. Not names, not voices, nothing. Then gradually I got to know who was who but at the beginning it was quite difficult for me telling the voices apart!

The only way I managed to distinguish Sheikh Aal Sheikh from the others, was the way or the tune that he says "Siraatallatheena" in. It's very individual. And his recitation really is hauntingly beautiful (I mean that in a nice sense). There's a certain awe about it, I can't quite put my finger on it. It's like he belongs in Masjidun Nabawi, his recitation is very Madina-esque.

May Allah reward him

Ameen. And all the other imaams too. Ameen.

We used to call Sheikh Aal Sheikh "the witr Imaam" back in 2000, coz he used to lead the Witr in Ramadhaan. He has a very soothing and calm way of reciting Masha Allah! I think Sheikh Aal Sheikh and Sheikh Ghazzaawi have very similar styles of reciting, does anyone think so too? :><:

You are absolutely right brother, I just love his maghrib salats. I love all of sh.husayn recitations :)..he recites in a slow and beautiful manner. even in taraweeh sometimes he recites very slow.:omg:

When I first heard his recitation, I wasnt a big fan of it. But once i started to listen to sh.husayn more, i love him. I did notice how he says "siratalatheena" when I first ever heard his sura fatiha mashaAllah. I really like how he reads sura fatiha. :) Sh.Husayns voice and manner of recitation does suit masjid nabawi. Ameen to the duas.

Sister Bintabee,I have some of his recitations of Sh.Husayn from 2001,2002. He used to recite quite differently. And I think he used to do only witr in 2000,right? MashaAllah his duas are just unique and beautiful as always.

Here is a dua of Sh.Husayn from 16th Ramadan1428. Very emotional. You can hear so many people crying behind him subhanAllah. May Allah accept all the duas and righteous deeds from sh.husayn.

One time, the main shura member of our masjid told me that he knows sh.husayn personally and he is a good friend of him. I asked him if we can invite him. He told me that he can,but it takes lot of time and effort. He stayed at Sh.Husayns house for a day. thats so awesome!:shade:

Alhamdulilah we have been blessed at the University and very noble Imaams have lead us in prayer at the Masjid of the Uni. I remember once Shaykh Hussain lead and as I was walking towards the Masjid I could hear his reciation, and if I closed my eyes I could have sworn I was at the Haram!

Another time Shaykh Sudais lead us in Magrib salah and when I closed my eyes I could picture the Ka'bah infront of me it was very nice to say the least.

Have u EVER heared Quran recited like this???

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aVB0OBcwaEI

This is Salah Bu khatir , This is not his usual style n usual recitation , This is his emotional style , He does tjhat with certain Ayaat.

I prayed at his masjid in ramadan 2006 , 07 , 08 and 09 , This is from 2009 n it is emotional but really 06 n 07 were so emotional almost the whole masjid was screaming!! i mean literally screaming it felt like its the day of judgment soo many people just crying at the top of their lungs ,

I am trying to find his end of surah Ibraheem from 2008 ramadan, The masjid was crying n he could not recite either , he just lost it towads the end , it was just crazy

He is a famous n reallly rich person with his business having a 3 billion dirhams turnover annualy but in ramadan he leads taraweeh n tahajud n he is the most famous out here in UAE.He is well qualified n educated as well , he is chairman f sharjah school of creative science , The guy is amazing i expect hm to be on good,

His usual recitation resembles sudais a bt , do check it out on u tube , but his emotional style is just amazging n heart trembling. Imagine Surah Az zumar recited like this , Surah Al Haaqah n all other heavy Ayaat. He repeats the ayaat at the top of his lungs with lots of passion n emotion , he can take a few ayat n go back n forth untill every eye is teary n people start shaking its just out of this world.

He takes his time with the ayaat n repeats the ayaat , he does end the quran but not taraweeh alone , He ends it in taraweeh n tahajud combined.

Please check it out

Yes I remember seeing an interview with him on tv or maybe on the internet [which one was it M.B?]

He was talking about how he studied in america and used to listen to Qur'aan in his car, it was due to a friend of his giving him a tape of shaykh sudais and he was hooked from the start. He said he listened to the shaykh non stop and copied his style, but as he grew older he developed his own style even though you cant style notice abit of sudais in him.

He is very nice reciter and is known as Sudais al-emaratiy lol

Masha Allah! I wouldn't even be able to tell it was Sheikh Salaah Bukhaatir. He sounds so different. Beautiful recitation of very heavy aayaat!

Brotherubaid is it true that Sheikh Salaah Bukhaati is the munshid Ahmad Bukhaatir's brother?

He takes his time with the ayaat n repeats the ayaat , he does end the quran but not taraweeh alone , He ends it in taraweeh n tahajud combined.

What do you mean? How does he do that:?

Kaaba gold door maker passes away
Anwar Al-Syed I Arab News

MAKKAH: Sheikh Ahmad bin Ibrahim Badr, the chief artist who recast the golden door of the Kaaba, has died at the age of 89 in Makkah on Friday. The Grand Mosque held funeral prayers at dawn on Saturday.

Ahmad made the Kaaba’s door using 300 kg of pure gold at the orders of King Khaled in October 1979. The work was carried out at a workshop prepared exclusively for the project. He also refurbished the meezab (the spout at the top of Kaaba) and the Black Stone’s silver frame. He learned his art from his father Sheikh Ibrahim Badr who originally designed and built the door when King Abdul Aziz ordered him to in 1942.

Ibrahim and two relatives, Mahmoud and Ibrahim Badr, cast the door in pure gold, taking a full year to complete the work. The interior pillars and the meezab, made with 25 kg of 24-carat gold, were also completed during that time. The prayer “Ya Hayy Ya Qayyum” (Oh the Living Oh the Lasting), verses of the Holy Qur’an and the words “Allah” and “Muhammad” were inscribed on the door. Their work also included a silver frame for the Black Stone.

Ahmad was born at his ancestral home in the Qashashiya quarter of Makkah in 1920. After studying at the local Falah school he joined his father at his gold and silver workshop at the age of 15. Ahmad had been working at his father’s shop “Sheikh Ibrahim Badr” in the Goldsmiths’ street all his life. He belonged to a family of artists known for exquisite gold works.
