Yeah me too. I still think the student that leads in Madeenah University has a recitation that's closer to Sheikh Shuraim's.

^This is a recording of the programme "min tilaawaatil masaajid" on Saudi Quraan Radio in Ramadaan 1426/2005. This one was about Sheikh Abdul Muhsin al Qaasim (or al Gaasim like the presenter says :rollseyes :p) < Where's that nice blue smiley for "rollseyes" ? :(

:wa: The madinah Student is one of the best imitator of Sheikh Shuraim, even though he does not use exact same tone the Sheikh has right now. Usually the Egytians say "fagr for Fajr" lol, Also I heard them saying "al-Muagly" hah...I have that file of Sheikh Qasim, its a nice interview. I was going to post it on haramain, but I wanted it to be translated. I think thats where Sheikh Qasim says that he finishes reading the whole Quran in one week. No wonder the Sheikh reads so beautifully in taraweeh as if he is looking at the Mushaf. At min 10:00, I see that Sheikh Qasim was asked about his father (may Allah have mercy on him)..you can hear his voice getting emotional while talking about Sheikh Muhammad al-Qasim.

I have that file of Sheikh Qasim, its a nice interview. I was going to post it on haramain, but I wanted it to be translated. i wish we could hear sheikh sudais 's advices for keeping the quran. i heard sheikh shuraim recites one juz a day and in rmadhan he increases it to 3 juz walahu'alm this is because how busy he is as he is a judge in makkah high court. we can see this because the sheikh hardly leads salah's now.

some inspirational advices by the sheikh i would like to try that inshallah starting from next week inshallah.

I don't usually watch the video, but after seeing the comments on haramainrecordings, I decided to watch it. Did anyone see the 2 youngsters that exited the Hateem with Sheikh? Also, some camera views are zoomed in just tooooooooo close to the Imam. :><:

sheikh budair has not been leading fajr for sometime now inshallah he will come bck. sheikh sudais was superb mashallah as normal.

I didn't get the chance to listen to the recording fully yesterday. My father said he was speaking about helping each other in times of need. I will try listening today inshaAllah.

so sheikh budair in madina is leading and sheikh sudais is around in makkah..is sheikh shuraim leading except for jumuah? i hope sooooooooo

what do u mean by this? i have a recording by him on this subject, were you talking about anything specific?

he is no longer judge, he is the dean of shariah college at um al qura uni
