As Najiullah says, he read quran of course...beginning of soorat al ghafir

I'm listening Sheikh Sudais on Saudi tv 2, Ma sha Allah, it's old recitation as i like.

  1. Sheikh Abdullah bin Hassan Al-Sheikh Imam appointed in 1344 and died 1378.
  2. Sheikh Abdul Aziz bin Abdullah Asheikh did not find him dates
  3. Shaykh Abd-al-Zahir(of the Republic of Egypt) died in 1370.
  4. Sheikh Hamza Mamedben Abdulrazzaq (of the Republic of Egypt) died in 1392.
  5. Sheikh Abdullah bin Ghani Khayyat appointed imams in 1373, died in 1415.
  6. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdalmhemen Aboalsamh died in 1399.
  7. Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Khalifa was appointed imam in 1373, died in 1414.
  8. Mamedben Sheikh Abdallah Al-Shalan died in 1417.
  9. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah was appointed Imaam in 1385.
  10. Sheikh Ali Jabber was appointed imaam in 1401 , he died in 1425.
  11. Sheikh Saleh bin Hameed Abdalla bin appointed imaam in 1404 .
  12. Sheikh Rahman bin Abdul Aziz Alsdes appointed imam in 1404.
  13. Sheikh Saud bin Ibrahim Asharim appointed imaam 1412.
  14. Sheikh Omar Bin Abdullah appointed imam in 1413 , he died in 1423.
  15. Sheikh Osama bin Abdullah Khayyat appointed imam in 1418.
  16. Sheikh Saleh Aal Talib was appinted imam in 1423.

#13 is Sheikh 'Umar bin Muhammad as Subayyal, right? And is #2 the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia? He's not the imaam of the Haram though, or was he at some point.

I didn't know they had two Egyptians in the relative recent past.. Interesting.

Ooh, Sheikh Jaabir's not in the list. :?

grand mufti was imam of kaaba and he visted pakistan too and led friday prayers in my home town my brother told me that

Erm...no Sheikh Taalib hasn't been dropped out of my list. :hiding: I just listen to those three mooosst often. If Sheikh Taalib got to lead Taraweeh and had a full Quran set, than I'd listen more. :-[ Buuutt, I doooo like his recitation. After all I heard him live innit, and he was proper :shade:

Once my brother confused Sheikh Shuraim with Sheikh Hudhaify. I don't get how though. :X I agree he has a slight Sheikh Hudhaify-ness...but :X. :p

salam
unable to post last couple of days but i have got to say 2 days ago when SJ and SB led the taraveeh SB was sooo fidgety and yawned a couple of times at the back while SJ was reciting:giggling:
AND SB even look straight at the camera in was well suprised lol but he seemed very tired. However when he started his recitation it was beatiful mashallah. Also did you lot see that when SB started his recitations at the back SST had started but the rest where trying to fill up spaces and one of the men to the left on SST was trying to push SST to fill up the space but he was having none of it lol lol;D ;D ;D so the others had to work round him and fill up the spaces its cos i think SJ did not stay to read.
 
Did anybody happen to be lucky enough to catch the Jumu'ah prayers yesterday?

I'm tellin ya....If you understand slight arabic........You WILL be in tears.
