jazakAllah khair for that recording

also this last week the muadhin of masjid al nabawi passed away inna lillahi wa inna ilayhee rajioun.

Sheikh Abdul Aziz Bukhary, the mu'adhen of Al Masjid Al Nabawi, died, after suffering from illness during the last 2 years.
He kept making the call of prayer in the Masjid of prophet Muhammad for the last 59 years.
He was burried in baqee, Madina.
He comes from a family that dedicated their lives to serve in the masjid masha'Allah.
He started his love of calling for prayer since he was 8. At 12 he became a mo'adhen in the haram alnabawy as a 'moladhem' (resident mo'adhen). Moladhems are those who perform adhan as a duty without a salary. He used to call for prayers in the days were no speakers were yet introduced. There were no air conditioning or other electric noisy appliances too, so his beautiful strong voice subhan Allah reached so far away in the neighborhoods of Al Madinah Al munawara.

al madani heres a sheikh shuraim khutbah al khusoof if you want, though yr 1420

Yes you're right. It is shaykh Ajmy.
Oh and by the way, a is anyone planning to go to the Uthman ibn Affan Conference in Makkah this summer. Its a sequel to the Umar ibn al-Khattab conference last year. I will probably go Insha'Allah. I went last year. It was amazing. So many scholars in one place. Really gave me a sense of the old days in Madinah.
Wassalam
