Wow bro when was that video recorded? (of SAS leading in NYC) I never knew he went there :coolious: Now we're just waiting for SS to come to the UK :p Insha'Allah!

I was shocked to see that Sheikh Shuraim(HA) did not lead jummu'ah this week  He has to lead next week (insha'Allah)!!

:w:

:salamext:

I'm not 100% sure but I think that recording was made in 2001.

:sl:

jazakAllah khair, that vid was great although the mike sure makes his voice totally different.

Abdullah youd generally see malikis praying with their hands at their sides though as if i remember correctly sheikh ali jabir was a shafi and one of the reasons he was later not imam of masjid ul Haram :X

:sl:

Jazakallah Khair sis
One more question:- at the moment are all the Imams of Haramain malaki's..is this one of the necessities set by the Saudi Government..Jazakallah Khair in advance :)

weve got into this topic before lol. :hiding:
they are salafi Alhumdulillah. and if i recall correctly the majority of the top scholars of saudi (the grand mufti, members of permanent comittee etc etc) are the same
or hanbali

Sheikh Ali bin Jaber usually folds his hands while praying, but this is the second video i saw him praying like that.it is allowed to pray like that, but its better if you fold your hands, and MOST of the imams and scholars of saudia are salafis
.because i follow the salafi method. and i know most of them are salafis.im 98% sure. salam

here are some videos of him praying with hands folded.

No I heard he was invited by the ppl and KING has given him the permission too so he must be coming...I heard it from very authentic source...the head teacher in that Jamea... unless something happens suddenly....

I just wanted to know any details? or any idea or comments on this plan?
like what shud I do coz I can go to him this time with the help of my TEACHER which is the head teacher in there....

I just read summat on bro Naiullah's website:

Sheikh Shuraim led Prayers in Madinah?

Anonymous said...
Assalamoalikum I think this is an excellent service and make dua for you for bringing so much happiness to me. I have read somewhere that Sheikh Shuraim once recited Magrib in the Prophets Mosque - if this is true, do you have a copy? Please post it if you have.Salams

If someone had met the requirements of the king and Government about becoming an imam of Haram Sharif, but he was Hanafi, would he become an imam there?

:sl:

its not just the king. its the other scholars aswell as the head of affairs of Masjid ul Haram and Nabawi :? plus i think one of the requirements is that you are of the same manhaj preached there.

Hafiz idrees guess we''ll just havta wait till friday and see.

ibn Muhammed that would be too cool, how far back is the person talking though? lol

How unfair is that?

you have to be the same manhaj as them, we are Ahle sunnah wal jammah
I thought Saudi Arabia is supposed to bring the Muslim Ummah together?

:sl:

you thought way wrong :p saudi arabia isnt exactly the best example to follow.

well as far as i know:
a person just wont be chosen like that but by how they are, their teachers etc is looked at to ensure their aqeedah is correct. for example if a person is a sufi they dont stand a chance. and how would they know unless you are taught by scholars known to them? :?

This may not have anything to do with what we're talking about, but I just wanted to share that I had a dream and Sheikh ash-Shuraim was in it.

Does any interpret dreams? I was so happy when I got up. lol

- Omar

Assalamu Alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,
WOW!

I Wish i could dream about pious people (Prophet Muhammad, sudias, Imam Bukhari, Imam abu Hanifah e.t.c.)

Bro Mr_GQ you must be thinking of shuraim day and night. LOL!

REMEMBER IF YOU HAVE GOOD DREAMS OR DREAMS FROM ALLAH THEN IT IS OK TO NARRATE IT OTHERS BUT IF YOU HAVE BAD DREAMS OR DREAMS FROM SHAYTAN THEN DON'T MENTION IT TO ANYBODY AND THIS WILL NOT HARM YOU.
