Shaykh Abdullah Faysal

Abdullah al-Faisal ibn Abd al-Aziz (1923 - May 8, 2007) was the eldest son of the late Faisal ibn Abdul Aziz and Sultana, daughter of Ahmad ibn Muhammad of the influential al-Sudairi family of Najd.

His government service began as Viceroy of the Hejaz often deputizing as the Kingdom's Foreign Minister when accompanying King Faisal in his international travels. He also served as Minister of Health from 1949-1950 and as the Interior Minister from 1951-1959.

Prince Abdullah later retired from politics to concentrate on his business interests, notably the Al Faisaliah Group which is among Saudi Arabia's most diversified business empires. He chaired the prominent King Faisal Foundation, and was also a noted poet - his publications, including Mahrum: Min Wahye al Hirman have been critically esteemed. May Allah forgive his sins and also forgive the sins of all the followers of Prophet Muhammed(SAW). May Allah make his questioning of Grave easy on him,May Allah Grant highest stage in Jannah(Firdaws). ameen.

Inshallah you are all well.

I was at the funeral prayer Prince Abdullah Faysal - was very dissapointing to see film crews and cameras and photographs being taken whilst the prayer was taking place.

I wasnt far from Shaykh Sudais although got pushed away by the guards!!!and he was not happy after the prayer - it was like a circus! I mean ok royals have to have security etc but they go over the top sometimes. I mean its the Grand Mosque in Mecca some respect must be shown.

Anyway, this is the first time I have been back to Saudi after Hajj and it was good to catch up with Shaykh Taleb. He is mashallah well (and still remembers me:statisfie ) but have not really had a chance to speak to him properly - myself and some others have been invited to eat with him (I may not be able to make it as I will be going Madina tomorrow).

Maslaam

Jazakallah bro (glad someone missed me!!!).

Just been very busy - I moved back from Saudi to the UK so still getting used to that but my job allhumdolillah means I go Saudi after every few months!

Yeah Shaykh Saleh Talib is well mashallah. He was just asking me about how life was in the UK and that he has been to England twice (not on official visit). Inshallah should be meeting him tomorrow and will ask him about plans on coming to the UK.
