Abdullah Saood is back mashaAllah. I thought we would never see his post on LI again. So how are things with you?

Assalamu 'alaykum

Normally islam channel tv show all fridays at 21:00 GMT (uk time) Makkah khutba with english translation, but i don't know why, I did not see that yesterday on this channel, there was a special emission.

Saudi channel 2, just after the end of Salat al Jumu'a at Madina summarize the khutba in english.

Is is true that Shaikh Hudayfi had dream of the prohet Muhammad, sallahu alai wasalam and thats why he gave the historic khutbah in 1998?

I'm not sure about that bro..i heard he was giving a tour of the Masjid to some people who refused to sends Salams on Hazrat Abu Bakr and Hazrat R.A and it was something to do with that

I have already ask here but nobody know his name, so if anyone knows his name please post it.

A shi'a embassador from Iran came to visit Masjidun Nabawi and instead of passing salams for Abu Bakr and Umar (RA), rather he cursed them.

Having known this Sheikh Hudhayfi (HA) delivered a fiery khutbah which deeply enraged the embassador, and pressured the government to remove him from imaamat.

After a while, one of the Saudi prices saw RasoolAllah(SAW) in his dream ordering to reinstill Sheikh Hudayfi (HA) as Imam of Masjidun Nabawi.

The first salah that he led was I think maghrib, and he cried for an hour before starting with Surah faati7ah. :cry:

That is how Allah ellevates the status of pious people. SubhanAllah.

was he only removed from Imamat or was he also put in jail?

Right after he was done with the khutbah, the police arrested him and took him away to jail. He was later released and put in house arrest. Then he was given back his position as Imaam and Khateeb sometime in 1999, I think. Also, he has been put on house arrest other times since then, right?
