I am just saying the read with emphasis on the nasal sounds, while Mu3aigly reads clear and calm out of the throat and chest with no Nasal at all .

you mean like who? sheikh sudais n shuraim? that is their voices. they speak with that same tone too.

Yeah in particular Sudais and Shuraim read with a bit Nasal Sudais more than Shuraim . but They read Qiraa'at as salat and not really Tilaawa .

The mataaf is fullll, I think that's why. For Fajr on Friday they left it behind the Maqami Ibrahim, but it was just that narrow space that was left open in front since there were soo many people, so they moved the imaam up since. Umrah just opened up a few weeks ago, so I guess that's why the crowd is picking up.

and people like them because of their style
most famous imams are Sheikh Sudais , Sheikh Shuraim , Sheikh Budyr ,.........

if you visit local mosques in Makkah and Madinah and other cities in ksa you will find so many great recitors, most of them recite like Maahir and others but non of them recite like sudais or shuraim.
it means maahir's style is common.

no doubt Sheikh Maahir is a good reciter and i like him too and i always pray that he remains imam in haram , and i want you and others to pray that saudi authorities confirm him as an imam (he is still on trial, if you can read and understand arabic i can give you a link so you can confirm he is on trial).

MashaAllah Sheikh Maahir is so good, some people say out of this world , i love him he reads from his heart .

sheik maahir has to work on his memory as (in his last 15 to 20 salats he forgot like 4 times) correct me if i am wrong 4 for sure but thats nothing as Humans do make mistakes.

not saying this as u like mahir so plz dont mind bro / sis sorry i forgot i m replying to a bro or sis

you know some people on other forums always say things against sudais and shuraim only because they r from riyadh but we dont have such people on li, li is cool :shade:

jazakAlalh for telling i always used to think why they lead right in front of kabah on weekends, from rabiul awaal to 10 shawaal and from 10 dul al qad to almost end of dhul hajj

well sis Crazy lady read my post again i said if you visit .... reciters ( means imams) , i was not talking about imitators or others, also that doesnt mean all imams like maahir or copy him

sheikh ayub is one imam who can recite in diffrent styles i have his recitations old and new in diffrent styles.

At the moment i'm in love with Shaykh Ghamdi's recitations, they too are just sooo unique!

I hope they split Taraweeh three ways this year..Shaykh Sudays - Shaykh Ghamdi, Shaykh Juhany- Shaykh Talib, Shaykh Shuraym- Shaykh Muayqili..Insha'Allah!!

yes mostly as far as i know maybe i am wrong , Allah knows better

yeah sheikh qasim was awesome he read from surah ar rum and sheikh talib was out of the world in Isha ( Al araf),

i pray that sheikh mahir becomes permanent imam and does not jus remain on trial

i agree with u bro. there are lotsa diff recitations but sudais and shuriam are most common. sheikh mahir is an awesome recitor and like u said every imam has his own style and thats wot makes them perfect. that being said, sudais and shuraim are the best lol
