yeh, mashaAllah im listening to Qasas right now... maahir is VERY good. my favourite is Suratul-Hujuraat (ch 49) from the 1425 set.

if you follow on with the mushaf ull notice that he always prolongs on every single madd. some other recitors shorten them, especially wen theres alot in 1 verse, like in al-Isra' (ch17):

haramainrecordings.com is the best site but currently if your having difficulty you can download/watch the taraweeh or tahajjud on Aswat al-Islam. they've uploaded their site so Ramadan 1428 Taraweeh and Tahajjud is there. here is the link

hmm... i have no idea. i wish they could come to where i live. i doubt though, because it is a small muslim community. maybe i should get in contact with the imam(he went to the uni of medina, so maybe he has connections:coolalien), and/or the saudi embassy. maybe we could invite one of them (but then again, i dont think they rock up anywhere uninvited:hmm i wish sh. shuraim could just waltz past and stay a few days in my town. wow!! i think the're would be a huge turn out. atleast i would definatley go. i would love to stand behind him, and hear those tears flow, and stand there wondering what is going through his mind.
