I thought Saudi was with America on the war on terror and the Imams of Haramain are picked by the Saudi Royal family?

So How can they be on their own countrys hitlist when they are picked by the man in Charge of the country?

Brother, the Imams are picked by the King,and king's master(America,UK etc) tell them,"Okay we have eye on this person,and I think he is against us,so watch out for him" So the king,ofcourse a puppet of U.S. will put them on list,and keep eye on them. Not all Imams are support ing(Atleast I hope not),as you heard before,lots of haramain imams had been arrested or suspended(sudais,shuraim,thubayti,huthayfi etc). The king can not just pick any person who favors him,he has to pick a Imam,that is knowledgable,perceptive,and who meets the requirements to be an Imamkay:. I was not surprised after hearing that anyways.

what bro shuraimfan4lyf said is absolutely true but also remember bro Haji_usmaan that it is Allah who chooses which man will have the honour of leading salaat in His house and in the Prophet's Masjid. It may necessarily not be the will of the King. Allah knows best

Abu al-‘Abbas ‘Abdullah bin ‘Abbas, radiyallahu anhuma, reported: One day I was behind the Prophet, sallallahu ‘alayhi wasallam, and he said to me:

Sheikh Muhammad as-Subayl, Sheikh Abdur-Rahman as-Sudais, Sheikh Salih al-Talib and Sheikh Salaah al-Budair along with many renowned 3ulama will be attending the 'Ali Ibn Abi Taalib (AIAT) Educational Seminar' which takes places every year I think in Saudi.
