'Abdullah b. 'Amr b. al-'As reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: Verily, Allah does not take away knowledge by snatching it from the people but He takes away knowledge by taking away the scholars, so that when He leaves no learned person, people turn to ignorant as their, leaders; then they are asked to deliver religious verdicts and they deliver them without knowledge, they go astray, and lead others astray.
May Allah reward them with Jannah.
Yet it is important to remember that after the death of our beloved prophet there is no big tragedy that can befall this ummah, because with the death of Rasululah the connection the people on earth had with their Creator was severed forever.
On a lighter note, I went umrah the other day and the Haram is very empty mashAllah, I even got to kiss the black stone! Its mostly saudis there now and other arabs from Bahrain kuwait etc. I new Imam lead us in fajr salah, he read surah Nuun, his voice wasnt as spectaclor as Shuraim and Sudais but I liked his tajweed mashAllah. The I went to Jeddah to meet a friend and I ended up praying in one of little masjids, and we were lead by a youth, almost my age the Nuur on his face was blinding me when he said "Stooooow" I knew this brother was special, he read just like shuraim! (if not better!) I couldnt believe my ears subhanAllah! I so wish I recorded it, inshAllah if i go back Ill make sure i record it. He even looked like Shuraim lol
