in an interview (before ramadhan) sheikh sudais was asked whether he would lead taraweeh in masjid al-Haram..he said Insha'Allah. he was asked when he would lead Jum'ah Salaat, he said "after ramadhan Insha'Allah".
i was guessing it wud be the week between Sheikh Talib and Khayyat. I was wrong, but this week looks like it might be the week considering he led Mahgrib Alhamdulillah. I miss his khutbahs. Insha'Allah khair, the others imams are good as well!

Salaatul Istisqaa was led in Makkah and al Madeenah and alhamdulillah it was Shaykh Abdul Rahmaan al Sudays and Shaykh Salaah al Budayr who led them, masha'Allah great to here a Khutbah from Shaykh Sudays after sooo long!

Shaykh 'Abdullah bin 'Awwad al Juhany

He is Sheikh Abdullah 'Awwad Fahd Ma’yoof Abdullah Muhammad Kadyuwan Al-Humaimy Adh-Dhabyaani Al-Juhany. He is from Jaheenah. (Alhamdulillah his grandparents are still alive). He has three brothers (Adil, Lafee and Muhammad) and two sisters. Sheikh Abdullah is the youngest son.He was born in Madinat ul-Munawwarah in 1396. He is married, has two sons (Muhammad and Abdul Aziz) and has two daughters.

He memorized the Quran at a young age, fulfilling his parents wishes/interests, and was given the ablility from Allah to supervise the teaching (memorization) of Qur’an at Masjid in the Western part of Madinah

He studied in the College of Qur’an Al-Kareem in Islamic University. Sheikh Abudullah graduated from the Islamic University with a degree in Qur’anic Studies and became a TA from the Preparation of Teachers [Teaching School] in Madinah. After that, he went to obtain his Masters in Makkah and he is now a graduate student in Ummul Qurra Univeristy. At the age of 16, he participated in a competition as a Hafidh of the Book of Allah and he won first prize. Sheikh Abdulllah did not grow up as an orphan as people say [people claim he is an orphan] His parents are still alive Alhamdulillah and May Allah grant them a long life. [Ameen]

And Sheikh Abdullah is considered as the only Imam who, by the Grace/Generosity of Allah, has been an Imam in [some] of the biggest masjids of the Muslim world. He has/is been an imam of:
  • Masjid Al-Haraam in Makkah
  • Masjid An-Nabawiyy in Madinah
  • Masjid Quba
  • Masjid Qiblatain

And there is some information that before Sheikh Abudllah led his first salaat in Masjid An-Nabawiy in the year 1419 he was [appointed] to lead salaat in one of biggest Masjids in Washington but by the Generosity and will of Allah, King Abudllah (when he was still crown prince) appointed him to lead Salaat in Masjid An-Nabawiyy Shareef. As for now, he is an Imam in Masjid Al-Haram in Makkat ul Mukarramah

Highligh of khutbah ~ ALL ERRORS ARE FROM MY SIDE!!

Sheikh Sudais began todays khutbah by praising Allah & sending salutations on the seal of prophets Mahammed S.A.W. all praise is to Allah who made us the people of the Quran.
Sheikh mentioned I advice you with a very important advice that is taqwa, o you who have imam fear Allah and dont leave this world except that you have surrended to Allah.
We are living in a time of challenges but we must strive to do good deeds. The shariah of islam is the seal that we must follow to remain steadfast.
The message wherein Allah says today i have completed my favour on you and i have chosen islam for you as a religeon.
Imam Shafi has made mention that shariah is to esteblish the correct way of living.
Imam ghazali has mentioned that shariah means to correct every aspect of our lives from from eating to how we conduct ourselve.
Imam ibn qayoum has said that shariah is to esteblish justice, order and to correct our way of living.
Every single race from the ummah has to protect the rights of the shariah and that is understanding the quran.
we live in a time when people attempt to innovate and change the shariah but we must try to protect and pass every judgement accordingly.
Utilize the shariah to help the ummah in dealing with contemprory issues.
Deen has come to ease life and shariah is a guide.
It is shariah that will esteblish justice and order and shun evils such as jealousy, greed, interest, adultery and other vice.
Turn to the ulema in very aspect of life.
When shariah is applied it will bring ease and remove difficulty.
From the objective of shariah is to make one understand quran and sunnah ecspecally with regard to women , hijab, modesty ect..

Sheikh began the 2nd khutbah by advicing us to fear Allah so that we will be sucsessful in both worlds. it is the duty of imam of haramain to explain aspects that will be of benifit to the world.
This is the place of safety peace and dua.
we are grateful to Allah for this.
May Allah protect our land.
Indeed Allah commands justice, kindness, to join ties, assist the poor n orphans.
May the salutation of Allah be upon our prophet the khulafa e rashideen the tabieen and those after them. Sheikh concluded with dua

Shaykh Bukhari, one of the Mu'adhins of Masjid an-Nabwi is at the GPU ... and apparently one of the Imaams of the Haram is there as well :uuh:

yeh they said imam of kabah but wont mention no name. Its definitely not sheikh sudais he led maghrib
 
The year I decide not to go is the year one of the Imaams turns up...:exhausted

SST was in Hong Kong, SS going Kuwait .... hmmm ... maybe one of them stopped over in the UK ...
