That's a veryyy interesting time to introduce a new imaam. For taraweeh. That's pressure... And wow, after Sheikh Shuraim and Juhany, he's slower. :p I don't get why not Sheikh Taalib or Ghamdi tho. :?

Masha'Allah! Saifur Rahmaan you beat me to it :) was just going to say it.
I think his name is Adel al-Kalbani he has an amazing voice

So Shaykh Shuraym already led today? So three Imaams for one night?! This is getting awesomer by the second :shade:

What a beautiful recitation Masha'Allaah!

I think that's how Shaykh Juhany and Shaykh Mahir were introduced a couple years ago? Must be super-hard to lead all of a sudden in Taraweeh!

I wonder if he's going to continue leading after tonight..

:sl:

^ Yea, true... Forgot about that. :-[

Witr time! He'll give the dua then I guess. :D

And...I think he was there the whole time? Or most of the time? And I was like, I wonder who's that next to Sheikh Taalib, never remember seein him before. ;D

Masha'Allaah..what a niice dua'!

It's so niiice hearing a slow & steady and super deep-voiced recitation in Makkah..usually its this way in Madinah..with Shaykh Hudaify and the other Shuyookh..it's like his voice is reverberating in the Haram..

:sl:

The announcer, mentioned his name before Taraweeh, but i didn't pic up on what he said, he has awesome recitation though, i take it he did the Dua too? Can't wait for a recording...

(announce in mp3 joined)

Wa salamu 'alaykum wa rahmatullahi

^^ Jazakallah webcoran....

nice recitation by sheikh aadil but with the likes of the melodius voices of Sheikh Shuraim, Sudais n Talib i jus dony feel theres a need for anyone else....

i want a sheikh shuraim Dua, though doesnt seem like its going to happen

May Allah make it a reality for us this ramadaan.....

Whoa! I just went to HaramainRecordings to listen to some of the taraweeh. Theres a new imam!! I know I'm a few hours late to the news but I mean I wasnt expecting it at all. He's good MashaAllah but I dont know if hes up there with Mahir and Juhanee.
I looked at the picture of him, and he's African?? I thought only Saudis got the job of imam of the haram. It is good though, if they do not take into account your nationality to decide if you can be imam.
Do you guys think he will lead regularly?

i read somewhere (i hav no idea about the validity of this information) that this imam will replace Sheikh Muaiqily. i really like Sheikh Muaiqily's recitation, and would miss him if that did happen. I also read at another website (this website had announced that sheikh Kalbani will lead taraweeh salaat today) that this imam is now an imam of Masjid Al-Haram; (my prediction) is that he will lead regularly. And Allah knows best

In another development, Sheikh Adel Al-Kilbani was appointed an imam to lead prayers at the Grand Mosque. The sheikh had been officiating as the imam and khatib at the King Khaled Mosque in Riyadh over the past 20 years.

Also in the article:
In his Friday sermon Sheikh Saud Al-Shoraim, imam at the Grand Mosque, urged the believers to devote more time in reciting the Holy Qu’ran that can give them respite from the worldly tensions and chaos.

“The Book of God gives light and guidance. The Qur’an is the remedy for the illness of heart and the best companion for a person living in darkness. It makes a person firm against turbulent events,” Al-Shoraim said in his speech before the prayers.
