there are actucally 4 imams of madinah.

1 - ali abdur rahman al huthaify - normal -http://quran.islamway.com/nabawy1423/076.mp3

abdul bary al thubaity doesn't lead prayer anymore, or does he? i don't know anything on him but i do like his voice.

Shaykh Hussain Al Shaykh; i don't know anything about this imam.

the imams don't do one salah/salat each, only the 4 that i listed lead prayer. i remeber one day when abdul muhsen al qasem and ali abdur rahman al huzaifi led all five jamats in one day.

and in taraweeh of 2004, ali al huzaifi and salah al budair led prayer 1 day of taraweeh. and abdul musen al qasem and ali abdur rahman al huzaifi led another day of taraweeh. but in taraweeh ali abdur rahman al huzaifi reads faster as his slow style of recitation (check the link to listen to his nice voice.) is quite slow and everybody will be there for an extra hour or so.

and in makkah they dont do 1 imam for each prayer. i once remember hearing saleh al taleb doing all but one of the five daily salats.

and one more question, who is the imam who led isha in ramdhan 2004. he has a really old voice? :confused:

There are 5 imaams in Masjid Al Nabawi.

Sheikh Thubaity is still an imaam in Masjid Al Nabawi. :)

And they alternate things... Sometimes 2 or 3 imams lead the 5, sometimes all 5 lead. They do go to other countries, cities, and stuff, so they have to alternate. :) But there are 5 imaams. :)

hey but that 1st listed imams taraweeh audio link i gave you sounds like the imam in this video who's name is ali abdur rahman al huzaifi, not thubaity.

look at the bottom, it says ali abdur rahman al hutahify and his voice sounds like the 1st listed imams taraweeh audio link i sent you. check it out. he normally reads slow but since it's taraweeh he reads fast. i think that the link i gave you actually isn't thubaity, i think it's ali abdur rahman al huzaifi - who is not in the first post with the list of madinah imams.there's a whole new mystery to solve :confused:

sorry, it was a sauditv2 broadcast with french subtitles but you can still read imams name.

okay say that is thubaity, what is the name of the 1st imam that i listed down as normal prayer. he has got a slow pace of reciting. it's very nice and i definitely know he ain't thubaity.

I like Huzayfee and Shuraim got suspended cos he critisized Saudi goverment in Khutbah I think
