Re: Imams of the Haramains
Asalamu Alaikum
Ok, this is how it went down.
Funeral time, the sheikh led his own sons funeral. After that, my khalu who is massive rushed up and even got to carry the coffin out. Me being the titch I was then was allowed to go with the other 100 people who were holding it. There outside were all the sheikhs by their Crown Vic's and my khalu just umm said there they are and I just rushed upto the 'fat' one and stuck my hand out. I didn't even get to feel his hand properly before some idiot pushed me out the way into the shiekh next to the 'fat' one who looked really old. I stuck my hand out again and this time got a proper shake before "ya'llah" (move?) was yelled out and then there was a sudder spur and I was back in the hotel room.
Gosh, it was an awesome experience. Sometimes, after maghrib salaah, the sheikhs would even stay under that place where the adhaan is called out and have tea (kahwa I think) and you could like sit with them, but not in their circle. Those guards looked so huge then, I wonder how big they look now - hehe.
