havent a clue
i know sheikh subayil been there a while

and SAS been there about 20+ yrs

also there was a sheikh umar subayil who passed away 3 yrs ago

and sheikh ali jaber was imam at one point

sheikh muhammed uthaimeen Rahimullah was also imam

does anyone know if sheikh hudhaifi used to lead in makkah?

and sas adhan..know wher i can hear it?????

i wanna hear it tooo :'( but i read somewhere he has done some adhans and iqamahs and led in madinah also
i did find a link for the adhan time ago but it didnt work :'(

I heard that a looooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time ago, so has bro mujahid...i think

In Makkah... In the 1980's along with Sheikh Sudais, there was Sheikh Jabir and Sheikh Khulaify.

And before that during the 60's and I think 70's Sheikh Abdullah Khayyat (Sheikh Usamah Khayyat's father) used to lead. :)

Hmmm...does Sheikh Sudais ever do the Iqamah nowadays?? Cuz I think once during a Taraweeh I heard it sounded like his voice. :confused: But what do I know... lol :-[

The interesting thing is that usually amazing Qaris don't have a very special adhan. I heard Adham of Muhammad Jibreel and Mahmud Khalil Al-Husary, but I always prefer the Mu'adhins who do it all the time. Qaris should stick to reading Qur'an.
