Assalamu Alaykum
You all seem to be so fascinated by the fact that I'm a Madinah graduate. I thought i'd tell you a bit more about myself.
I was born in London in 1983. At birth, i was completely blind. This carried on until i was 4 and by Allah's grace, i had surgery and gained some eyesight.
Alhamdulillah, my parents feared Allah, and taught me Qur'an. I studied from the age of 6 and became Hafiz at 11. From then on, the study of Islam took me to many places, including Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
I graduated from Madinah in 2003, aged 20, with an Ijazah in the recitation and tajweed of Qur'an in 3 styles.
I tell you this because most people think that people with a disability cannot do much. Allah has shown me what I am capable of and in my opinion, gaining knowledge of Islam is not so hard as gaining knowledge in worldly affairs as many people spend their lives doing.
We should all try to learn and increase our knowlege, as taqwa comes from knowledge.
Wassalam
