Greetings,

I hope my first post finds all of you in good health and blessings.
I've been a traveller of various religions and philosophies. I've not found any peace, perhaps i'll be fortunate. If not, may our time together be a warm one.

interesting, just like i used to be long time ago. checked out just about every philosphy and religion to see what was good about it and take and use that and leave leave the bad,

that worked right up until i looked into islam.

i read about every man made philosophy when i was atheist, then when i became a believer in a creator i looked into just about every major religion.

i took the good and left the rubish in each faith and philosophy but eventually i came across islam and i couldnt find the flaws and problems in the book i had found in other religious texts, i believed the Quran to be the word of God.

therefore i was left with a choice of being true to myself and my creator and embracing this new faith, or being a fraud to myself and God and not bothering.

you are so right. just looking at all the recommmended reading is a bit overwhelming. course that is a wonderful lifetime learning journey in itself. i think am relaxed abt what i am doing here. however, i think that one of my main fears will be to find a good place to inquire without feeling uncomfortable, once i leave koo koo ville.
